In terms of eating wet food, try Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance. Daphne was a kibble addict who would only lick the juice of wet food. I started giving her meat baby food and she ate it. I found that she likes the consistancy of baby food over typical wet food. It's more mushy, so when she licks it, she gets more of it. Natural Balance (with the exception of the indoor formula) seems to be the closest I can find that resemebles baby food....and she loves it!

Try using meat flavored baby food. Beech Nut and Gerber make beef, turkey, and chicken flavors. Just makes sure its just the meat and the broth. This will get her used to the consistancy. That's what meowmy did fur my sisfur and it worked! Daphne likes the consistancy and the only food that she has found that resembles baby food consistancy is Dick Van Patten's Naural Balance. The process may take awhile but it worked on the world's most stubborn kitty MOL. big laugh

At least he is doing it to himself. Jake will come up to me and do this to my neck! If he can't get my neck...it's the crook of my arm. I hope he outgrows it but I just take it as a source of comfort. Most likely they will outgrow it...but sometimes they don't and we just to let them do it.

Daphne was like that too. I started giving her meat flavored baby food. Gerber and Beech nut make meat ONLY food in small jars. From there, I expiramented with different brands and consistencies. The baby food trick is what did it for her and she is a stubborn kitty.

I was curious about that too. I saw it the other day but couldn't buy it then because I wasn't going to be home for a few more hours. I didn't think you had to cook it though. Anyone try this before?

Oh yes. I sniff everything! I'll sniff meowmy's plate but won't eat any of it even if it's offered to me. I sniff everyone when they come into the door. I'm a sniffin machine MOL.

Meowmy just bought 2 Halloween t-shirts for cats at Walmart! $5 a piece. She searched around and didn't like anything she found. These t-shirts were adorable and within her price range.
