Hey Lionel - I send you lots of purrs for a speedy recovery. When I had my eye removed my vet sent me home w/ a soft e collar and it worked oh so much better than those cones. Just thought I would share. I hope you feel better soon!

Hey there! Mom uses revolution on us kids and besides combatting fleas it also prevents heartworms and several other kinds of worms. If heartworm prevention is a concern for you this is one of the benefits. Good Luck!

Hello! I am so glad Rusty is at the vet! I was concerned when I read this post because we went through something similar with George although we did not get to the blockage stage and my vets were much more aggressive with George's treatment because they know me and our pet family and plus they are just very very good.

Once you get Rusty through this, I would definitely try to find a different vet and one that specializes in cats if possible. It makes all the difference in the world when your vet actually listens to you versus telling you there is a behavior problem!

George is sending purrs your way for a speedy recovery!! kitty

I also agree with the suggestion to test for Bartonella. We had similar symptoms, especially the sneezing, in our cats and turned out they all had it. And the treatment was Azithromycin (sp). First time I ever had to purchase meds for my kitties from a people pharmacist!!

Cat Health > Need Help with Blind Kitten

Blind kitties- rock!

Purred: Mon Feb 2, '09 4:38pm PST
Hello! My meowmy has had me since I was a kitten and I was born blind. Meowmy noticed that I did not respond to visual stimulation but appeared to get around just fine. *** Mittens Mom here*** My guess is that Mighty may be unsure of his surroundings and therefore that may be why his movements are like they are. It took Mitten a while to become acclimated too her surroundings but once she did most would never know she is blind. I would just give him time to become secure and I think he will come around. Also, ask your vet his or her opinion. Good Luck and God Bless for taking in this special kitty!

Shared responsibilities in our household. Dad mostly takes care of the litter boxes something he is not wild about. But since we switched over to Feline Pine he says they are much easier to clean. Mom feeds us and grooms us and both Mom and Dad take us to the vet! smile
