Precious I realize many on here will disagree, but I think you are beating yourself up senselessly over the cat liking dry. My last cat lived 16 very long healthy years on just dry food. Millions of cats do it every day. As long as your cat is getting a diet that is balanced and meets her/his dietary needs stop trying to force something that the cat isnt happy with.

I really doubt dry food caused your cats liver cancer btw!

Behavior & Training > Clean Sheets on the Bed

Does anyone else go absolutely crazy when your mommy puts new sheets on the bed? I dont mean just helping when she puts them on, but after that.

I roll around for 2 -3 days on them and go lay on them every time I can. They just feel sooooooooo good. My favorites are the silky ones mommy got from Ikea, but I like any.

After a couple days I go back to my normal sleepy places, but oooooh clean sheets!!!!!! dancing

Behavior & Training > My Baby is TOO Affectionate!

Winnie

Where are my- tummy rubs huh?

Ok everyone will have me labelled as a bad mom after this, but Winnie can be like this too. Not always, but some days she just feels she MUST be on my desk, on my keyboard, being petted and loved on. And since I work away from home alot I LOVE that she wants to be near me when I am there. But since I do work from home part of the time, it is NOT conducive having my cat rolling around on my desk, knocking the phone over, laying on the keyboard while I am working.

I know that one thing Winnie doesnt like it to be picked up and huggled on (as much as she wants affection, up is not her thing). So I have figured out when she gets out of control on the desk if I pick her up and hug and kiss her for about a minute that once I let her down, she will go find somewhere else to lay in my office so that I dont get affectionate on HER.

So yes the cure for over affection in our house is over affection!!! *smile*

I do have a couch in my office and one end of it is her Hazel Lucy Blanket, (the end right near my desk) and when she isnt in a love overload mood she hangs out there with me!!!

We kinda have that here....the vet wanted Winna to lose weight but I am normal sized. Mommy was not over feeding us either (we eat a cup of food or less together a day.). The way we have helped a bit is mommy buys 2 kinds of dry Euk food, normal and fat kitty and then mixes it 50/50. So we still get our food but some of it is Euk fat kitty food.
