When Mommy got me from the HS of Ocean City, NJ, I had been kept in a cage with free dry food and wet food twice a day, and boy was I a little pork chop! Mommy feeds all of us on a schedule, 1/4 cup of adult dry food twice a day. But...before she did, she checked with the vet to make sure the amount was correct. Mommy says your Mommy should ask your vet before putting you on any kind of reduced calorie diet because you're still (technically) a kitten...good luck!

You might want to try petfinder.com. Do a search for cats in your zip code area. The search will not only provide you with shelters, but also rescues. From there, you can click on the rescue name for contact info. Wish I could help, but I'm on the Philly side of the state.

Godd luck.

Purrs,

Mo'

This might sound gross to the hoomans, but Mommy said that overcooked shrimp tend to turn mushy.

Also, if you have properly cooked shrimp, the finer it's chopped, the easier it is to make into a paste. You can try adding a dash of flour to make the small pieces stick together, then smash it with a spoon til you get a paste consistency.

You can try putting an ad in the local paper. Or even put up flyers at local businesses, supermarkets, etc.

Also check with your local cat rescue. They're usually found at the Petsmart. They might be able to foster the cats until they can find a home for them.

So sorry for your loss...

I love shrimp!! Cooked, raw, who cares!

When Mommy is shelling and deveining shrimp, I like to sneak in and grab one. Then I run away and snarl and growl while it's hanging from my mouth. Mommy does not condone this behavior, and is always able to catch me and take away the raw shrimp. I’ve never become sick after stealing the raw shrimp and have also done this with raw scallops.

I also love cooked shrimp, and have never been sick after eating it. I agree with Delyte that your Mommy can put the shrimp in a small food processor to create a paste. It’s definitely cheaper than buying paste. Also, check with your vet to make sure this is a safe way to give medications. When I get shrimp and seafood, it’s usually in small amounts…after all, Mommy’s actually making the shrimp for her, not me…
