I voted. It was SO HARD. I got it narrowed down to two with more ease than expected but those two were neck and neck and it was tough to pick one. The final dog was much easier. I liked four or five dogs but I liked one so much that it was an easy choice.

probably. Tonight I was laying on the stove after mommy made the pumpkin cake. It was so hot I was practically panting. But it also felt SO GOOD!! I like the heat a lot better than the cold.

Hi Bea! Great to see you!! wave

Ha, ha. Sounds like Squeaks was quite a character. I just lay on the stove after dinner and like the pans and soak up the heat.

mommy always loved the Sara Lee pumpkin pie.

Now she has this stuff called "egg replacer" that is actually some sort of potato starch. She's going to try that and see how it substitutes in recipes. She did use it once to make mini blueberry muffins. It worked pretty well. The only down side was without eggs, things don't brown right so everything is pale and it would be easy to over cook something.

Mommy got a book called Bakin' without eggs. So far she's only tried the pancakes. They were pretty good. It's an adjustment though. Really, most things can be made without eggs except omlets and angel food cake. Mommy even found out they make vegan egg roll wrappers. She's not sure where to get them but hopes they have them at Whole Foods. She's supposed to go to one over Thanksgiving.

My favorite part of Tosca's kittenhood was when she would be playing then in the middle of swatting or jumping she would just pass out and sleep for 30 minutes or so.

Wonderful, Spot. Thanks so much. I'll be sure to take the stuff home to mommy and Tosca. Not to worry. Mommy loves pumpkin pie but she heard about a pumpkin cake recipe and she made it tonight. She took one can of pumpkin, a pumpkin spice mix, and a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. Beat it for 3 minutes then bake like you would a cake. Mommy said next time she will add a little oil. It isn't dry, just a tad crumbly. She topped it with cream cheese frosting. It's pretty good.

Great idea about the hens/quail.
