I was just thinking the same thing Mouse. I hope it is that everyone is doing well. But just in case, here's some purrs purrpurrpurr
Stay warm, stay healthy & here's to hoping that the new year will bring an improved Catster to us all!

Health wise, the kitty quartet is doing well. This cold we are having does take a toll on Felix - he walks more slowly and awkwardly, but he still seems happy.

I just saw this now - I haven't been around too much lately. I hope that your kitty is doing ok. Tig has this, and takes atenolol 2 times a day, and is doing well. Not sure what med your kitty is on, but if it is making him not feel good, the vet should be able to prescribe something different to try. The labored breathing can be fluid, so it is important to keep contact with your vet. If you are not getting the support from them you need, then definitely try a different one. I question everything with Tig, and the vet will double check with his cardiologist if I ask her to. It is an awful disease, but can be managed. Some kitties do very well, and sadly others do not, but there is a ton of research going on now, to hopefully treat this better. Take care sweet kitty & family. hugwave

IS there a possibility of seeing another vet? It could be stress related, rubbing, could be overgrooming, could be other things too. Your vet should take your concerns seriously, and answer all your questions. I would be concerned too - especially if the skin is darker - what can cause that? I hope that things turn out ok for you. PLease post how you are.hugwave

I use epi otic ear wash. You can dip some on a cotton pad, and then wipe the ears. I also put a bit extra on, and squeeze a bit int the ear & squish it around, rather than flood their ears with med. Tigger has an ongoing ear infection with his allergies, and I use this every week. I just used it for Maizy too. The vet prescribed Mometamax drops for her to use 7 days to clear up the infection. I have also seen pre moistened ear pads for kitties.

If you get him neutered as soon as possible, you should not have this issue. I have 3 males & 1 female, and they have no issues.

Behavior & Training > New Kitten won't stand on floor?

I agree. Try leaving some catnip or really enticing toys on the floor, or sit there with some fun toys & see if she will come on down to play. She is still a baby, and likely still unsure of her surroundings. Cats like to be up high to see better. She may not feel as secure on the floor. Patience, and I think she will be ok.

First unless you get all the urine, no spray will deter them. Natures Miracle may have to be reapplied several times. The other box that was there before, may smell too much like your other kitty. (do they get along?) Also depending on how old that box is, it might be due for replacement. After a while their claw scratches in the plastic do hold an odor for them. She may not like that litter. Perhaps try a different one in the other box. Was she using it before your other kitty started to use it too? It could be that she prefers her "own" potty. If it is placed where she feels vulnerable, she may not use it. I would maybe go back to the quarantine set up for a few days, to see if you can get things to click back into place. They also sell a sprinkle cat attract herb for the box to help them. It is frustrating, I know. Also has she been to the vet just to rule out a bladder infection, etc.?

The best thing is to try & get as many spayed/neutered/placed as you can. Is there any social work type of program near her that may help? If she will let you take them to clean the house, that may be the best thing. Contact a local rescue, they might be able to help you too. Best of luck - it is a tough situation.
