TIA SYDIBIL STILL WATERS RUN- DEEP     Purred: Sat May 18, '13 5:01pm PST  You are a Supercat!! Mom wanted me to tell you that there's an inexpensive way to block the hole where the rat came through. You take steel wool and sort of shred it, then stuff it into the space where the rat came in. Then you mix up some plaster of paris and pour it over the crumbled up steel wool. It might take several pours to completely seal the space. If the rats try to eat through, it will kill them -- outside your house. CHARLEY- BLEAU EYES I\'M HAVING- FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!1     Purred: Tue Apr 16, '13 4:02pm PST  Don't know if this story counts as a "Ghost of your Kitty?" story or not but I'd like to share: My cat Steinem never messed up any of my craft work; she would even lie in my lap and let me sort embroidery thread across her body. (How weird is that for a cat?) The two cats that rule my life now do the same; they will watch what I do - needlework or wire work or beading - very closely. Occasionally one of them will reach out and gently touch the work but don't grab and don't tangle, even if I put it down for a minute. Have I been blessed with three craft work savvy cats in my lifetime or are the two present cats listening to a little angel cat on their shoulders? I'll never know and they aren't telling. CHARLEY- BLEAU EYES I\'M HAVING- FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!1     Purred: Tue Mar 19, '13 9:14pm PST  Feliway should help. Also there's an herbal product called Rescue Remedy that works. When I got my two darlings, I had to use both. Feliway in the air and sprayed on beds, etc. and Rescue Remedy 0n the cat's noses or paws. They lick it off and it calms them. The company also makes human stuff which I've used to cope with stress. Now my two are almost a bonded pair. They eat out of the same plate at the same time, groom each other and snuggle if the weather's cold (they're both long haired cats and summers are hot here). Even now, one of them will say something that the other one doesn't like and the ears go back and the hissing starts. I don't intervene unless they actually use the claws or teeth, feeling that they can settle things better than I can. Wish I could offer more information; it's always a learning curve.
