Hi all, wave First of all, I want to thank Tigger for inviting me to this wonderful group. Secondly, I'll tell you a little bit about why I was invited here in the first place. After dealing with some urinary issues and finding out that I needed to have surgery to remove what we know now to have been a struvite stone, I am trying to find the best tips on preventing this problem in the future with diet, water consumption or any other tips that all of you kitties have come up with! I really appreciate the tips and I hope as I learn, I can pass along some good information to all of you as well. I think all of our goal is to prevent any issues in the future. Glad to be a part of the group guys! way to go

hey Sophie! I haven't been around a bunch lately, but wanted to give a shout out to all!! MROWR!! Tigger absoloutely will not eat the RX diet anymore. I tried mixing Fancy Feast with it, and darned if that cat doesn't manage to pick out the FF & leave the rest. Can't say I blame him, it even looks gross. So now I am in super paranoid mode about him eating regular canned food, even though I did not plan to keep him on the C/D. I liked Sophie's idea of using PH test strips on the food, so I have been looking for them, but all I could find so far is a liquid to test for ph - where did you find yours Sophie? Anyways, Tigger had a can of Natural INstinct duck tonite & I thought he would eat the plate he inhaled it so fast. Still nervous nellie though... wave

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been around for a while. I hope your meowmy found the ph test strips Tigger? If not, you can find them in most drug stores or even on amazon.com for pretty cheap. I am currently still eating fancy feast classic varieties, but am in the process of trying Daves canned food as many have suggested. What I really like about Daves food, was the fact that it actually showed the ph of the chicken and turkey varieties on their website. It looks as if the ph values are around 5.85 which would work great for struvite stone prevention. Keeping my paws crossed that I will like this cat food? hamster dance
