After dinner... the girls decide they are going to teach Mak and Misha how to do the dance that they did earlier... but without the swords. Wil and Si get a good laugh as they watch... knowing that the angel boys are only pretending not to know ... and how serious the girls are about them learning. When they are finally satisfied that the angels now know... Hallie and Willow grab hold of their paws and together... the foursome dances the entire dance... ending with the angels leaping over the girls heads and landing with a bow. They all fall to the ground laughing at what they just did.

The girls are getting tired now... and decide to get into their pajamas and go to bed. Both angels... and Wil and Si now tuck the girls in... kiss their foreheads... and promise them that they will both get to see their Moms tomorrow. The girls let out a big sigh... and within minutes ... are sound asleep.

Seeing the girls go off to sleep... makes Wil think that he wants to go to bed too... but when he goes to tell Simon ... he finds his buddy is already in his jammies. Wil gets his PJ's on and then joins Si and the angels for a drink ... then it is off to bed... he has a feeling that he might be sore tomorrow!

At first light... Wil wakes with a start and sits up in bed. He rubs his eyes... blinks them a few times... then looks toward the table where all three trophies are sitting. He giggles when he realizes that it wasn't a dream ... and that yesterday really did happen. Looking around the room... he see that Si is still asleep so he gets up to check on the girls and finds Mak and Misha snuggling with the two of them ... and they are all still sound asleep. Wil goes out into the other room and turns on the TV. He will watch it until everyone gets up. He is flipping through the stations... when one in particular catches his eye. He listens intently to the story of an older couple that have a home for orphans in the area. They have been running it for years ... and ... according to the boys and girls they have raised ... are two of the most wonderful people in the world. Wil watches as they tell how the two of them have given their entire lives to those that have no families ... making a home for each and every one of them. This touches Wilson and he finds that he has tears in his eyes listening to their plight. When he hears that the home they have is in dire need of repair ... and that they have fallen on some hard times. ... Wil picks up the phone and calls down to the lobby. He asks the clerk if he know of this home for orphans ... and he replies that he does and that there is a fund raising campaign among the locals to raise money to help them. This delights Wilson and he tells the man he would like to contribute to this very worthy cause. As he hangs up the phone... he starts thinking about it ... and comes up with some ideas that he knows Simon and the girls will really like... especially those two girls.

Now he sees that Simon is stirring and can hear whispering coming from the girls room. He picks up the phone again... and orders in some breakfast for the six of them. When it arrives ... everyone is up and bustling around the room getting things packed for the journey home. They all cease what they are doing and converge upon the table and the food like a pack of hungry cats. With full plates in front of them ... everyone digs in... and in no time at all ... breakfast is done!

Everyone gets dressed ... all the bags are packed ... and now it is time to leave. As they go down to the lobby... Wil checks out and then has a private conversation with the clerk. He hands Wilson a piece of paper and shakes his paw and goes back about his business. Si questions Wil... but all Wilson will say is that they will all know in a little while. Out to the car they go and as they get in... they see that all of their luggage and stuff is gone. The girls let out a squeal in horror... but Wilson assures them that everything is safe and in the car that is parked behind them that Mak and Misha are driving. With a puzzled look... Si and the girls nod ok and then get in the car. Wil hands directions to Simon... who reads them and then looks at Wilson... raising one eyebrow as if to question what is up.

Si puts the car in gear... everyone waves goodbye and the last leg of the trip has now begun. With his directions in paw... and the other car right behind.... Si follows them until he reaches the address that is on the paper. The post box says MacDonalds ... which Si reads as he heads the car down the long driveway and up to a big house that is surely in need of a paint job. They pull up next to a very old station wagon and park... and Mak and Misha park behind them. The girls peer out the windows with wide eyes... they want to know where they are and who lives here.

Just then... the front door opens and several children ... of all ages ... come running out and surround the car. They have never seen a car like this before and so they walk around it many times ... and look in all the windows. Hallie and Willow jump out first ... and start introducing themselves to all the little boys and girls. Meanwhile... Wil and Si get out and head up the stairs of the porch just as an elderly couple comes out the front door. Wil extends his paw and introduces himself and Simon to them. Now he starts to tell them that he watched their story on TV that morning and that he would like to help them out.

As he says this... he can see a smile coming over their faces. First thing... Wilson hands them an envelope and asks them not to open it until they leave. Now he turns to Si and tells him to give them the keys. Si's eyes get big and he runs back to the car to retrieve them. When he returns... he hands the old man the keys with a smile ... and tells him to take good care of "her". This makes them both gasp and now they have to take a seat on the porch ... they are both in shock. The woman invites them to come in and have some tea... but Wil and Si decline ... letting them both know that they have a plane to catch.

*Simon suspects what Wilson has placed in the mysterious envelope. He leaves Wilson chatting on the porch with the couple, excuses himself for a moment, and dashes back to the limousine. Mak pops the trunk for him and Simon frantically rifles around through the bags until he finds just the one he's searching for. He pull out a checkbook and quickly writes the MacDonald's a check. He's thinking..."hmm...that oughta put some petrol in the car for them!" He quickly seals the check in an envelope and runs back up to where the couple are standing with Wil. Out of breath, he sputters..."Mr. MacDonald, sir, please take this envelope...but there's no opening it until we've gone. Understand?" Mr. MacDonald nods his head...by now the poor man is completely perplexed. Yet, something tells him not to argue with these two serious and determined cats.*

*Wilson and Simon shake paws-to-hands one final time with Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald, then turn and descend the porch steps. They call to their sisters sitting in the back seat of the Dusenberg, packed in with all of the MacDonald children, who are petting them and chattering away at them in thick Scottish accents, which neither Hallie nor Willow can completely understand. The girls are laughing and their eyes are sparkling with happiness.*

Time to go, Willow...Time to leave for the airport, Hallie!!

*The girls look at each other, sorry to have to leave these wonderful new friends. Reluctantly, they climb out of the touring car one last time. From where they stand, they wave to the MacDonald parents, then turn and walk slowly toward the limousine. Wilson and Simon open the limo's doors for them, wave a final salute to the family, and climb in behind their sisters. Mak puts the car in reverse and backs carefully out of the drive.*

*Simon and Wilson look through the limo's rear window just in time to see Mr. MacDonald stagger back onto a porch chair, open envelopes clutched in his hand. Mrs. MacDonald has thrown her apron over her face and is rocking back and forth in place. *

*Grinning broadly, Wil and Si high-five each other.* way to go

Where's Mama?

*In the rear seats, next to each other and facing their brothers, Willow and Hallie look puzzled at what the boys are so pleased about.*

Simon, what's up? Why did we leave the car with those people?

*Simon explains to his sister about how the MacDonalds take in children who have no homes and have almost run out of money.* So now, they will be able to take care of the children they have, plus will have room for even more. And the Dusenberg is large enough to hold all of them. What do you girls think about that?

*Willow's eyes are filled with tears as she unbuckles her seat belt and pads over to give Simon and Uncle Wilson big, strong hugs. Hallie follows suit...they are very proud of their brothers. Both little girls know how it feels not to have a real home and their hearts are full for the young MacDonald children. This is the perfect ending to their wonderful trip to Europe...both girls know how lucky they have been to be able to do all the shopping they wanted, to eat so well, to stay at the best places...and to be going home safely to see their moms.*

*Mak drives carefully to the Edinburgh airport. He pulls the limousine up to the tarmac, where the Scooter private jet is waiting. Several ground workers unload the trunk and stow the luggage, countless shopping bags, and Simon's portrait securely in the baggage level of the plane. The six kits emerge from the car. The angels help the girls as they ascend the steps to the open doorway. Mak, Misha, Hallie, and Willow turn around on the top step and take one last gaze at Scotland, then head inside the plane and take their seats.*

*Wilson and Simon stand on the tarmac for a moment longer, each one deep in his own thoughts. Simon turns in a slow circle, trying to memorize the surrounding scenery and gazes up at the purple-gray sky with the ever-present low-handing Scottish clouds. How very different this sky is from the one that greeted them in sunny Lisbon. Like watching a video, Simon replays city after city in his mind--boat rides, bicycle rides, the monorail...the restaurants and hotels and all the wonderful people they met. Every experience made an impact on him and he will never forget this tremendous three months. The breeze ruffles the fur on his face and he shivers a bit. It is time to leave. He climbs the plane's stairs and enters the cabin. Without a word, he fastens his seat belt and looks out of the window, waiting for his best friend Wilson to board.*

Mak and Misha board right behind the girls and Si... and they get in the seats with the girls... since they are so roomy. All four are chattering away about the trip... and the girls both have out their cameras and are showing the angels the pictures they took.

Wil thanks the grounds crew ... takes a last look around ... then heads up the stairs and boards the plane. He heads to his seat... right next to Simon... and buckles in. The engines begin to hum .... and the jet begins to taxi down the runway then makes a quick turn. Now they start to roar as the jet begins to move again... this time faster and faster until Wil can feel the wheels leave the ground ... with a sigh... he sits back in his seat and smiles.... he can't wait to get home. Within a matter of minutes ... he is sound asleep.

Suddenly... Wil is jolted awake by the pilot coming on the loudspeaker announcing their "arrival" in Portugal. He is groggy ... and takes a few moments to wake up. He turns to Simon ... blinks his eyes a few times ... and says excitedly

Dude... you won't believe the dream I just had!!!
shrug

THE END laugh out loud
