We have figured out how to make the drop down buttons be the same color as the buttonbar. Unfortunately, this means adding a couple more selectors to the existing code. Sorry it's more code, but it is the only way to get it to work.

Now for what else is coming!!! dancing

As many of you know, HQ now hosts the images for the buttonbars. There was a reason for this to happen. Mom has been working with HQ to make the buttons available to all members of Dogster/Catster without the use of style sheets. We think that might happen today!

If you decide to use what HQ will have available, do NOT put the link code into your style sheet. It is an independent piece of code and will not work from inside a style sheet. The original buttonbar code generator will always be available so you can still get the CSS from there and put it into your style sheet if you like.

Callie, you are so pawsome and it's fantastic HQ has recognized how wonderful your buttonbars are!!

A couple of questions, if you don't mind: how will we know about HQ's changes? And do you know if they will include instructions for using them?

Thanks for all you do for us!!dancingdancing

Not sure how HQ is going to promo the buttons so just be on the look out.

Instructions will be fairly simple. Just be aware you will use either the current method or the one provided by HQ. NOT BOTH!

I'll be back late this afternoon/early evening to see what's up if anything.

We have lift off! way to go

The buttons are now available directly from through Dogster and Catster.

HQ has posted about this new feature in their blog on the home page, "Unleashed" on the Dogster page and "Hear & Meow" on the Catster page.

Check them out some time. Oh and spread the word!

That is especially important because the code that they provide you is HTML code, not CSS code and must not go into your stylesheet! It must not be included in your stylesheet file if you use one, and must be kept completely outside of your style tags in your bio fields or group HTML lines. Furthermore, it must appear AFTER your stylesheet code, or else whatever buttonbar code you already had in there will overlay the new code instead of vice versa.

As long as you follow the instructions, everything should work fine! way to go

(Callie Jean already mentioned this in the first post, but this is a reminder since we had to wait for the code to actually be available)

Thank you Webster for reinforcements! And Flicka for the hot links!

Please everyone note this...
you will either use
the 29 lines of CSS code from the original buttonbar color choice page
the one line of HTML code from the selections now available from HQ .

eek DO NOT USE BOTH! eek

Any questions?
