Did you know pirates wore the patch over their eye because when they raided ships there wasnt much light, they used lanterns. So the purpose of the patch was when pirates would raid the belly of a ship, they would flip their patch and the covered eye would automatically be adjusted to the dark, allowing them to see what they wanted to steal. way to go
