 | | | | A few weeks before I left home, Tally had one of her episodes. What was a little different about this one, though, was that she had it during a walk around the neighborhood. Normally, she has them in the house, although the very first one she ever had was in a park that's connected to our neighborhood. However, in the park, we had already been on a sidewalk. My neighborhood, however, is not the most pedestrian-friendly in the world and doesn't have sidewalks. You just have to walk on the road. In any case, all of a sudden, she just froze up and started trembling, as usual during one of these. I figured out what was going on pretty quickly, but panicked on what to do, since I was scared to move her too. She wouldn't follow when I tugged on the leash, and she snaps at anyone who tries to pick her up under normal circumstances. I was scared of what would happen if she was already panicky. Luckily, our neighborhood doesn't have very busy roads (which is probably why they never bothered with the sidewalks in the first place), so what I in the end decided to do was keep her where she was keep her where she was and try to signal to any cars coming to stop or move to the other side of the road. Luckily, none came by before Tally had recovered, but is there a better way to handle this in the future? | | | | |
