i read in a article called "how to safely switch your dogs diet to homemade dog food" by Jamie K. Wilson & this is what it stated...
If your dog has seizures, never introduce turkey without talking to the veterinarian first. The triptophan in turkey, while it's a low level, is a seizure inhibitor and may interact with medications your seizure-prone dog is taking

Hudson, we saw on the canine epilepsy web site that turkey was a trigger, but when we asked our vet she said it was okay for us. Mom gives us ground turkey regularly and we've had no problem with it. Mom does make sure to avoid any food with rosemary, though. She doesn't want to take the chance.
