Well we had ordered new harnesses for the dogs and just got them today. They are so cool. They are made for pitties. Custom made by CD Pits in Canada.

Can't wait to check the harnesses out more.

OK so we went for a walk today and a dog came up to Gromit barking and being a turd and then another dog did the same thing. I was able to pull Gromit away with not much of an issue and he could not pull out of the harness!!! When we walked back home came back across one of the dogs again and he lunged and pulled again and I did not worry about either dog getting hurt.
Wish he was not dog selective, but at least now we have gear that will keep all safe. He pulled just like they do in the competition and the harness did what it was supposed to do. WOW
So it was worth the $120 for both of them. It was $95 plus the shipping from Canada.
Well worth every penny.way to go

I don't understand how the harness proctects. Do you have to actually life the dog up so he can't bite another dog? I'm thinking of trying something new for my two, but am not sure if I can lift Pooh's big head up.

The harness holds him like an ox harness(yoke), it holds them around the neck and then down the back. It does not really hold the head up, it is more the way he pulls....... hard to describe. Look at a pitty pulling and that is pretty much what it does. It does take the strength to hold them though.

Monster

You leave it on- the floor and- it's mine!

I love having a harness for my pup. He doesn't pull or choke himself like he doesn't with just a collar. If he lunges for something it pulls him back by the chest, lifting his front legs, preventing him from getting to anything he isn't suppose to. He does so well. I am going for my pug and when my other pit pup gets big enough I will put her in one too.

Wow. Thank you for posting the info on the harness. We have always used the Gentle Leader for Kayla and there is ZERO pulling with that. We have been working on walking with a flat collar (doing REALLY well), until we get around dogs. I am SO afraid that Kayla will collapse her trachea due to the pulling when she sees another dog. Thank goodness she doesn't behave like that every time. Most of the time, she snorts and walks on.

I have wondered about harnesses, but no one I know has one and I never thought about posting.

Thanks! happy dance
