Ozzy was offically diagnoised with Dry FIP this past week and the vet said theres a chance that Nirvana our other kitten could get it. Now nirvana is starting to look a little hefty and im wondering if hes developed Wet FIP and that belly is fluid... he acts like a crazy ninja kitty so Im not sure if its just me or if i should be concerened... does anyone know if its possible for one to have dry and one develop wet and if it is wet FIP is fluid in the belly the only symptom?

thanks

Zaboo

Hi There - hang in there & don't panic - FIP CAN NOT BE SPREAD to other animals,

I have been tested twice and both times came back with a high titer, however I've never shown any other signs of FIP - I am a little over 1yrs old and weigh in at 14 lbs and boy do I have energy to spare.

So even if your other kitty comes back with a higher then normal titer don't panic - its only testing Cornavirus levels..

Purrs to you, here's hoping all goes well for both your kitties!

well unfortunately Ozzy past away a couple of weeks ago and the vet said that nirvana is just a little chubby so no FIP for him. But now Nirvi seems lonely and I was just wondering should we wait to get another cat so it wont develop FIP or are the odds good and then we can get him another playmate?
