Rascal, some cats just don't like sharing a litter box. You might try a 2nd one and see if that helps. Place it in a different room if you can.

As for the Feliway, we use the diffusers. We have 2 in our house. My sister and I don't fight as much with those around. We both want to be the alpha cat and our bickering drives mom nuts.

Ridley, put a diffuser in the teenage boy's room. I know someone else who had a problem similar to that and that's what they did to solve it.

Hello Ridley-

My name is Syff and I have similar issues. I'm the only girl with 2 brothers. I know who the culprit is in our house... it's me. I like to pee in mom and dad's room, particularly on dad's shirts that are laying on the floor. Mom and dad have now designated special p-shirts for me to use when I need.

They also put Feliway with diffusers throughout the house and I don't pee as much as I used to. I only do it when a feliway bottle runs out or when I have a UTI.

I love my feliway because it makes mom and dad happier with me. But you have to keep them full otherwise it's bad news.

First thing and MOST IMPORTANTLY - any type of urinating outside the litterbox or marking outside the litterbox warrants a trip to the vet to rule out actual illness or infection. If the problem is NOT physical, then it is probably behavioral and Feliway will help with that. Stress (which can LEAD to bladder infection that needs to be treated) and feeling anxious or threatened ccan cuase behavioral problems and link to urinating outside the box. ou fur mommy needs to watch carefully and see what is acutally goin on dynamically adn Feliway CAN help! My mommy of 6 knows this! Cuz we don't always ALL get along.:-

I'm an only fur and I pee and poop around the house occasionally. The pawrents have tried moving everything they can think of. But it may just be that I'm lazy. I was checked out at the vet and I'm AOK. Don't know why, but I just like going all over the downstairs (not upstairs) once in awhile. Some of you older furs might just not be feeling well and going too.

I was peeing on the bath mat in Mom and Dad's bathroom even though my litter box was only about a foot away. Since there were 4 cats in the family at the time, Mom and Dad set up a video camera and caught me red pawed. The vet recommended feliway so Mom and Dad bought the defuser and have been using it ever since. I really worked. I stopped peeing on the bath mat.

We have 13 cats, all rescue's, some I trapped 8-10 years ago and have 'issues'. I have 13 litter boxes, 2 in one room, 1 in another, 1 in another and the rest in the litter box room. I have feliwaydiffusers (6) all over the house, but I still have one (Brianna) that poops in the kitchen or by the back door, Missy Kissy that pee's basically in the kitchen and Minnie that pee's lots of places. Missy Kissy has had these issues for several years, Minnie & Brianna more recently. They have all been to the vet numerous times, occasionaly they will have an infection, but usually not. Rugs are an issue, all of the carpet has been removed, recently dumped an 11'x14' oriental rug, will have to have the hardwood floors redone. I have tile or hardwood, which should not hold the odor after cleaning. I know there is stress and to many cats. When I started trapping, I thought I could socialize them and find them homes, some I did, some did not work so well. I've got 2 in cages at this point, which is no life, but if in there 3 weeks, they behave when they come out... at least for a while.
Thoughts, suggestions?

There are 8 of us in a brand-new house. The previous owner did not have pets but we still pee everywhere even though our owners waste tons of money on 6 refills a month of the Feliway diffuser and spray. It keeps us calmer and there are less fights but we are still intent on ruining the new house for mommy and daddy. We pee on the kitchen counters and appliances, the furniture, the walls, the carpet...even on mommy and daddy sometimes. We are all spayed and neutered and mommy and daddy are at wits end! The vet says we are all ok and our litter boxes are kept clean. Any suggestions?
