UNITED WE STAND!
We are against any kind of discrimination wefer it be against peoples or pets. We are duty-bound to educate the public, spread the message to our Dogster/Catster patrons, and communicate with the members of our communities. It is very helpful to keep a list of contacts of our federal, state, and country lawmakers. Our Mimi has learned that a written letter is more effective than email.
We believe every pet has a right to life, to be well cared for and loved, to be recognized as a member of the fambly and to be appreciated for who they are. When discrimination is allowed, we are sending the wrong message to our children that it's OK to treat pets casually, without regard, without respect and without feeling. We give them permission to be arrogant, merciless, judgmental and to have no remorse. They grow up without learning how to unconditionally love. They don't know what a sentient being is. They don't understand that everyone has a right and a purpose to be here.
The hallmark example of discrimination and arrogance in this country is in our casual allowance of shelter *"euthanasia" for no better reason than a pet's lack of permanent address
Mimi likens it to the extermination of the Jews in WWII. To date, there have been more than 26,023,315 shelter pets put down in 12 years.

*Euthanasia...means "merciful death" for those suffering from inordinate pain of end-stage illness or irrecoverable injury. It does NOT mean to put to death the viable for color, age, size, breed, genetic predisposition, physical or emotional disability or homelessness. | | | | |
