I now feed my Feo iams and fancy feast 2 xtimes a day but i noticed his stools have been being loose. I know they need a high qualilty food because they burn so much energy. I was think ing of switching to Royal Canine. Can anyone tell me what they are feeding their cats?

Hi Feo! My mom gives me Science Diet and Wellness brands cat food (I eat just the dry food, never any wet food) and my stools have been normal (I haven't tried the Royal Canin yet, but I've heard it's an excellent cat food, so you can't go wrong with it either).

Both of these brands are pricy, but my mom takes advantage of store sales and coupons (if you check the Wellness website, you can request a $5 off coupon). smile

I am feeding my 2 sphynx "Authority" brand indoor adult cat formula. To my knowledge it is only available at Petsmart. One of my cats has trouble with loose stools and this food really helps with that.

Peanut will only eat a mix of dry and wet wellness food. When we first adopted her she was quite the beggar and was very picky about her actual cat food. I had to use a technique I learned with dogs and it worked awesome!! I would put out her food at the same time everyday and Peanut would go over and sniff it then walk away, and then begin to beg. I would instantly take the food away and not feed her until her next feeding time. This took almost 3 days of her not eating anything and on the 3rd day she sniffed the food and began to eat it. Since then she hasn't begged or whined for something different. It was hard at some moments but they have to learn that you are the boss or they will train you.
