I'm interested in what others are doing to keep their FeLV+ kitties who are currently symptom free healthy. We give ours L-Lysine and interferon, and I try to give them as high-protein a diet as I can afford (and that they'll actually eat!) We try to keep their lives stress-free (wish I could do the same for myself!).

I always wonder if there's more I can do, so can we share strategies that we're using with our FeLV cats?

Thanks for sharing!!

Tommy's mom (Lisa) here. Tommy gets Vetri-DMG and a homeopathic antiviral mixture. I SWEAR by the DMG! It is an immune system booster, and quite honestly I wouldn't mind giving it to ALL my cats, except Tucker is quite difficult to medicate. Luckily, Tommy is great about being medicated.

I also minimize stress for all of them - I figure even if Tucker and/or Tessie are positive (I haven't tested them yet) they can still live a long life if I treat them the same way I am treating Tommy. Even if I am stressed out (which I am all the time) I try not to show it to them.

And yes, they get a high protein (46%) dry food with no grains.
