Lantus is almost $100 for a 100ml bottle, and most of it goes to waste because it stops working at about 70-80 days. So I went online to read about alternatives. Found a lot of info on juvenile diabetes postings. I bought Lantus cartridges which are 3ml per cartridge, the initial outlay of $162 (with a AAA discount) goes much farther because the waste from 3ml vs. 100ml bottle is much less! I saved a fortune! The unopened cartridges are good as long as they are refrigerated.
And they have a rubber tip that's purrfect for inserting the syringe! My vet was happy to hear this!
