Im nervous about putting my tree up. Do Neblung's like to climb more than the usual cat? How can I deter him? kitty

Well, I'm not positive about all Nebelungs, but mine (who is a mix with Chartreux & possibly Russian Blue) hasn't minded it. We've had a fake tree, but I think one year we've had Gigi it was real. She explored around it and rubbed her cheeks on the low branches, but besides that, no damage to the tree or the cat. She likes to hide underneath it, behind the presents and stuff, too. kitty

Gigi is 2 1/2 years old, and she's had all her Christmases with us. So far she's never had a problem with the tree, and right now we have ours up, and she just explored it, slept underneath it for a bit, and that was it. Let me know what happens with your kitty! I'm sure they'll be fine. way to go

I do have my tree up now and I havent even seen him by it. My other cat has explored but we told him no once and sprayed him with water once and he has stopped. Maybe he told Taz about it and Taz decided to stay away on his own. >OLlaugh out loud

LOL! I wonder if cats really do communicate with each other, that would be cool. wink

I'm glad your kitty isn't messing with the tree. And I'm also glad that it's Christmastime again! For the last couple of years that we've had Gigi we've put up a stocking for her. Are you going to that this year? kitty
