Since there are a lot of county fairs going on around where I live right now, write a poem about a county fair! Winner will receive 5 zealies!!

What could be better than a county fair?
The smell of cotton candy & popcorn in the air.
So many booths where you can win prizes,
Stuffed animals galore in all shapes & sizes.
A ferris wheel that goes way up in the sky.,
Doesn't it feel like you wanta fly?
A tilt-a-whirl that spins you around,
You'll be dizzy when your feet get back on the ground.
And maybe a roller coaster or two,
The up & down motion wreaks havoc on you.
Hit the weight with the hammer make it ring the bell,
Guess your weight, or how old are you, I"ll never tell.
Theres livestock,cows, sheep and chickens,
You hold your nose "cause they stink like the dickens.
Don't forget to check out the bands that are playing,
You can sing along with the words that they are saying,
You walk round in circles and visit each tent,
Til you are dead tired and your money's all spent.
I'm a prize at this booth at the county fair!
People try to win me by busting a balloon.
Always some sucker thinks "I'm the MAN!"
And I feel like a carnival buffoon...
I belong to one of the carneys here
But it's sad as forever we have to roam.
So please, mister, this time, hit your mark.
Cause it's time for me to have a home!
A bright sunny day I picked out
To go to Wisconsin State Fair
I saw some fantastical things
And really enjoyed myself there.
All kinds of goats, sheep and chicks
There were roosters and rabbits and cows
And horses that did wondrous tricks
And the pig races made me say, “WOW!!”
There were loud bands of music, oh no!
Made me put my earplugs in my ears!
But the cream puffs were great; and that’s how
My whiskers got sticky, I fear!
The doggies compete in a show
No kitties I saw that were there
Till the showman he spotted me so
Said THERE’s a dog, bring her right here!
They said I looked like a weird dog
And the doggie race, they entered I!
I was scared and ran like a greased hog
And yikes, ran so fast, won first prize!
I headed straight for the grandstand
Expecting to see a nice show
But to my surprise, there wasn’t a band
Just my brother Pat singing so-lo!
After the show we went out
And had some junk food for our meal
We had corndogs and chips and fried dough
Things kittycats NEVER should eat!
We went to the midway then, after
We rode on the big ferris wheel
On the Tilt-A-Whirl we had much laughter
And the Coaster, it just made us squeal.
After sundown, we saw the glow
Of the fair’s neon landscape sights
The fireworks flew high and low
Boomed and sizzled in mult’colored lights.
Then we jumped on my Harley and ran
Down the highway back to our home
And I thought, our adventure’s so grand
This MIGHT make a really good poem!
I know mine isn't about a county fair...but the one we go to mostly is the State Fair...Mom has been going since she was a little girl, so ours is about the Wisconsin State Fair. It's like a county fair, just a little bigger. Hope you don't mind.
I liked the other poems so far...really nice! You put in things that I had in mine and I wrote mine before reading any of the others...I guess the fairs are all similar, but lots of fun!!
Our little county fair is like a state fair, only on a much smaller scale. All those food stands, Mmmmmmm. I've been to the IL state fair but never the WI one. Maybe some day!

One day I was sniffing around in my yard,
when my nose smelt an unusual scent...
I followed my nose with my tail in the air,
not knowing how far I had went.
All of a sudden, my nose found the smell,
as I held my head high in the air.
I looked up ahead, and what did I see?
But a sign that said "County Fair".
I turned my head sideways, not sure what to do,
as my nose lifted back in the air!
Then in an instant I ran towards the smell
I just had to explore this great fair!!
I ran through the crowd, nose to the ground
Tail wagging fast as it could!
I went toward the hot dog stand, running full speed!
Boy those hot dogs smelt good!!
After a hotdog and three ice cream cones,
my tummy felt like it would pop!
But I was having great fun, there was so much to do!
I knew that I just couldn't stop!
I suddenly spotted an unusual sight.
It was round and it spun really fast!
So I waited in line and waved my best wave,
as the passengers sped right past!
I heard a bell ring, It was my turn to ride
so I hopped on and strapped myself in!
I rode round and round, I went up, I went down
I wanted to do this again!!
But once I got off of the Merry-go-Round,
my tummy it felt sort of sick!
So I layed down to rest and when I awoke
I realized I must get home QUICK!!
So I followed my nose right back to my house
and quietly snuck to my bed!
Hoping that no one would realize I'd gone,
I gently layed down my head!
When I awoke, I wondered...
had it all been a dream?
But then with a burp I remembered!
The hotdogs and yummy ice cream!!!
