 | |  | | I have been a memeber of Catster for a long time. I don't visit the site as often as I'd like. Last night I had some spare time and came to the web site only to an advertisment for Hartz Flea products. ( Ruckus's Mom)

When I first showed up where I live now I wanted to go inside I think someone must have abandoned me at a few months old. The person who was now feeding and caring for me had 2 cats of her own and a feral colony with 32 cats in it. So money was a little tight. I liked playing with the ferals but I wanted inside too. They noticed I had lots of fleas on me and used Hartz flea drops on me. Within 20 minutes I started acting weird I was taken and given a bath to get the drops off of me but it was already to late.
The next day I couldn't even stand up. I was taken to 2 different vets over the next 3 days and the second vet knew it was the flea drops that had done this. I was treated for a week and then allowed to go home. I still have neurological damage due to Hartz flea products
But I 'm luck I'm still alive and getting better very slowly I can actually jump now I haven't been able to since the flea drops were used on me 5 yrs ago. I feel so sorry for all the cats injured by Hartz. I know the EPA and Hartz agreed to pull the product, but ya know what I am still seeing lots of reports about thier new flea product injuring and killing cats and dogs. I figure they didn't change the formula enough for itto be safe. Hartz is a money hungry uncaring company that claims their products never hurt an animal well I'm here to shout , 'Yes, they did they hurt me".

I sort of doubt Catster will let this group remain, but I figured I'd try. I so hated see a Hartz flea products ad here. Catster claims to love cats, if they truley do then will get rid of the Hartz ads. Why not join and we will see if we can get Catster to see the light of day. |  |  | |  |
