I've tasted many, near and far. I would have to say the best I ever had was from a kitchen in Rumley.

Anyone else? Your favorite pasty and where was/is it from?

I didn't grow up here so for me it was an acquired taste. My ex-mother-in-law made good ones. Commercially, I have really only had Lawry's Pasties in Marquette, and I like the vegetarian ones. Bonnie

Our mom likes the veggie pasties, too---but her favorite has always been Jean Kay's. Whole wheat crust, diced rutabagas, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, celery, etc.... and a big dollop of cream cheese right in the middle!

Can't seem to access their website of late...hope everything is OK.

I have had many a pasty in my day. The best, by far, was made by my great-gramma. She used an original Cornish recipe, handed down for several generations.
For store bought ones, the old Hub's Super Valu (in Munising) made really good ones.
Lawry's makes pretty good ones, as does Muldoon's, here in Munising.
