	We are reading Doris Lessing's science fiction novel, Mara and Dann- a post-apocalyptic story of a brother and sister journey through "Ifrik" ,which is written simply and evocatively. We are long-time Lessing fans, but haven't read much of her sci-fi. LAst week we read Oryx and Crake AND The Year of the Flood, both by Margaret Atwood. Since Gita finished a job a week ago, we are reading as much as we can, which is great, because we never leave the couch. Cheers, Smushy

	Interesting that you mention Margaret Atwood! We haven't read anything by her, I do not think, but just the other day a friend was telling us about Peneopiad : The Myth of Penelope and Odysseus! She said it was really good! Considering our Halloween costumes, it is probably one we should get! Your friend, Kingsley

	MOL...Yes, Kingsley...Mr. Bryson sure met some interesting people...if you can call them that! I was a little disappointed that he didn't finish his walk, but it was a GREAT book!

	We're reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (?). I think The Handmaid's Tale is by Margaret Atwood, isn't it? We loved that book. My mama read it once a long time ago before i was in her life, and then she read it again with me a few years back. Great book.
