 | | | | Lily recently tore her right ACL, and in my research to find a natural way to heal her, rather than surgery, we found out about ester c, too. Another dogster posted a protocol in the Dog Health forum that recommended it, too. Mom researched ester c and found out the body needs it to manufacture collegen, which is part of cartilege! The article said they gave ester c to doggies until they reached their tolerance level, which they knew because it causes them to have runny poos, then they backed down to the previous level. We did that with Lily and have her on a maintenance level now, with Synflex (another dogster suggestion) and duralactin (yet another dogster suggestion!) We haven't had MRI's or X-rays yet, but Lily is moving around regularly as if nothing ever happened. She still, however, over does it and ends up limping in at night. I'm hoping the water therapy we start in a few days will help with that. | | | | |
