I paid $600 for my sweet Kozmo Doodle from a local breeder. He is AKC and his dad was from a champion bloodline, as well as his grandparents from what the AKC registry says. He is 5 months and only about 3.5 pounds now, so he probably won't get much bigger, judging by the size his parents were. We love our Kozmo so much and he was totally worth every penny!

Hey efurone, I just found this group and joined. I got my Maisie for a really good price. The lady was selling her pups for around 600, but she knew me, and I just gave her less than a hundred and a bunch of Jeff Gordon collectables. The Gordon stuff is valued at a lot of money...but I think I got the best end of the deal....Maisie is worth a million bucks to me!!...I hate lectures...rescuing is great, I have a rescue that was badly abused, I wouldn't trade her for anything....but it is hard work, and heart breaking....I have three dogs I bought, and one rescue...and they are all worth a million to me! cheer

I guess we're oddballs here, lol

I paid $300 for Gizz, with the crate and a leash and cushion and shots and stuff included. We got him through rescue and he was transported from Michigan to a nearby state about 3 hours away where we picked him up.

Our lives have never been the same. He is my soul mate, and my only regret is that dogs don't live nearly long enough as I can't imagine my life without him.

I'd definitely go through rescue again. Our home is blessed with him.

We knew we were getting a special needs dog and did it deliberately, and we knowingly went into the 4-figure mark having tests done on him to make sure he didn't have hip dysplasia or a spinal problem before we got him his wheelchair. Then the $500 for his wheelchair. He is SUCH a happy guy.

Now he flirts with me daily, has a ramp that leads up/down to our bed (not for use with his wheelchair) or the couch, and he has about 30 coats and shirts, 3 dog siblings to play with (and a cat), but he truly has no clue he's one of them. He was raised as an orphan by a very nice woman when rescued from a puppy mill and he seems to connect more with people.

He owns the house. We just pay the mortgage, lol.little angel
