Hi to all the new members of our pawsome group.

This thread Gives everybody the chance to introduce themselfs. Just let us know a little bit about yourself, why you joined and what you expect from being in this group.
This would be helpful for me and Jubilee to be good admins for this group and for everybody to get to know eachother.

Hi Kitties, I am Diego. Mom wanted to train me when I was little but time went by and we never did it. Now I am almost 4. I am pretty smart so mom is hoping to train me now.

My only problem is that I don't like any food other than my regular food. Tuna is no draw. We will have to find somthing I really like.

Hi Furriends! I'm Frankie and I'll be 8 on the 29th party . I joined because I always whine 2 hours before my dinner time and I whine at 1:30am and 4:00am because I want my Mommy and Daddy up to play and want someone in the kitchen while I eat my dry food. My bad boy squirt bottle no longer works because I think it's a fun game. My Mommy has dark circles under her eyes from lack of sleep. Poor Mommy cry

Hi everyone! My mom has never heard of clickers for cats but it seems like a great thing for me, she just googled it! She says that being up at 2:30 and 4:37 every morning because I want to play doesn't work for her. She also knows that I'm young and I'm active but I hardly sleep and she doesn't either.

H, and welcome to our group everybody, I'm glad you guys joined us.

To the Frankie and Xavier:
I also used to get up a lot at night and bounce of the walls, but since my human pet and i started the clicker training i sleep a lot better, I think besides doing our regular chasing games, I needed something to get my brain tired, and trying to train my pet to click and give me treat really gets my braincells working. my pet also Used to wake me up when i slept a lot during the day (when she's home) to get me used to a more day active and night sleeping schedule.

Evry once ina while i still get up at night and wanna play. but that's maybe once every 2 weeks.

once again welcome, and let us know if you have anymore questions!
We're no experts (yet) but we'll give our best!!

Hi kitties! I am Jubilee, and my pal Leopold invited me to help administrate this group! I am so glad to see new kitties here! YAY!!! wave

My mom always wanted to train my big sis Spike (Spike did a great job of training Mom, though laugh out loud ), but ironically Mom only first read about clicker training at about the same time that Spike got sick and went to the Bridge. So she determined that she would clicker-train her next cat -- me! She ordered Karen Pryor's book and some clickers and studied up, before she even got me.

Hi Diego! Great to see you! You are a super-smart guy, and I know you will take to clicking really fast! Maybe your mom could use your regular food as treats, and just do your training right before your breakfast or dinner when you're hungry? (My attention span is amazing when I want food, and I'm also less picky about my treats if I'm actually hungry.)

Frankie and Xavier, sounds like your moms have their work cut out for them! smile Nighttime hijinks were a problem she never did solve with Spike, and wants to avoid with me, so I look forward to us all sharing what works (and what doesn't laugh out loud) in this area!
