Oh Lexus! I’m so sorry to learn you’ve been diagnosed with the dreaded Megacolon. It's a very unpleasant disease but thankfully there are medications that can help you and your mommy manage it.

It sounds like you’ve had a VERY rough time of it, first with not pooing and having enemas and a manual extraction (OUCH!!!!) and then getting diarrhea. I hope your mommy has found the right dose by now and the diarrhea has stopped. Keeping my paws crossed that you won’t have any major episodes with constipation. From all the time we spent reading messages on the Yahoo Megacolon group, it does get tricky at times.

You have a wonderful mommy and your vet sounds terrific and I know you’re in good hands.

As for me, I'm doing good on the chemo med and the prednisone. My blood test results have been encouraging. I went to the vet on Monday for an exam and my vet thinks I'm doing quite well under the circumstances.

I will keep you in my purrs.
