My Mama created a page for a Himalayan kitty who is at the Irving shelter. That's the same shelter where my sister Abby was adopted. Mama wanted me to post the following on this poor kitty's behalf:

"I'm being called Zest. I am very sad and depressed. I had a home, and after 10 years, my human did the unthinkable...and now I am at the municipal shelter. cry

I hear the rumors...older cats don't usually get out of here, and I am very scared and lonely. Too scared and sad to try and charm people when they come into look at us kitties.

If you know anyone in Texas who might be interested in adopting a sweet "senior" girl, please tell them about me?

The shelter is located at 100 N Briery Rd Irving TX 75060

If someone wants to call and ask about me, they will need to refer to the number I have been assigned, which is 1168.

The number at the shelter is 972-721-2256

Thank you,
Zest"

Wow....that's really harsh... I am purring for the senior... Gosh, Meowmy and I talked with Tasha Yar's meowmy and she runs a shelter... they are Texas kitties, too... and she told us tuxedos were hard to adopt... We are very interested in putting together a list now of the least adoptables... so that someone who just wants a kitty in good health, but for whatever reason...wants to get a tough case will know what to go for... wow, I can't imagine giving up my kitties, although Zelda was obviously owned by someone before and was not feral cause when we brought her in the house, she certainly knew what beds were for....

My mommy set up an account where she can post the Irving shelter kitties full time. Last night and today she worked on Catster pages for the "urgent" list kitties, the ones who are next in line to be PTS. She says there is another ten year old cat, but we can't be mad at the owner this time, he passed away and I guess had no one who would take his cat, Molly. cry Her page is here http://www.catster.com/cats/495086 another tearjerker I'm afraid. I heard today that she may have been taken out of the adoption room and might be in observation. Keep her in your purrayers that she isn't too sick? I know URI goes around at shelters easily, and the older ones and the baby kitties are the hardest hit by it. My kitty sister Abby came from the shelter, and she was sick for a while too, but she got lots better.
