Oliver's mom here, as a new member after getting a special invite from Grady. Have some info to offer the group, but am just now catching up on mail. I have to run out the door to a meeting but plan to read and post more real soon if that's ok. Grady and Delyte, I've answered your Paw Mail. Thanks for inviting me. Need to get the word out on Catster that this group is here. There must be a large number of kitties here that could offer advice, sources, support, etc. CRF is not necessarily a death sentence. I promise to write some more real soon!

Shady - In Beloved- Memory

Hi all! I'm Shady's mom. Shady is in the beginning stages of Renal Failure. So far, things have been fairly good. She's on 50cc sub-q injections each day, and has changed over to renal support foods from both Hills (kibble) and Royal Canin (soft). Considering she's 20 years old, I'd say she's doing pretty well. She had dropped 3 pounds, but seems to be slowly gaining it back, and is eating pretty well. Yay!

I hope that we can all share our successes and support one another in our challenges.
