 | |  | | Your cat already comes to you when you are giving out it's daily meal when you call him. Now lets start practicing this when breakfast or dinner time is over! Let your cat meander a few yards in front of you. Then attract his attention by using a soft and encouraging voice, "Here ____! Here...kitty....kitty!" with your hand reached out ready to pet, so that he comes to you.
Note: For the stubborn one's out there, I recommend you to put something fun or tasty in your hand. Tuna or a few kibbles of dry usually does the trick!
When your cat comes to you reward him! Congratulations! Give him a treat and pet him. Show him how happy you are. This way coming to you becomes something special. Dont wait for your pet to sit before you start praising him (THAT'S A DIFFERENT LESSON...so hold off for now!), or else you'll be rewarding him for sitting, and not for coming to you. Let him sit after you've givin him the treat.
