Whoa, Alfie. No meat? I hope your mom is getting you all the nutrition you need. We cats weren't mean to be herbivores.

Me, I'm allergic to chicken. Otherwise, I'm pretty sensitive to some of the flea stuff. Well, I'm allergic to fleas, too. Advantage works pretty good. At least mommy says so. I don't really ever notice her putting it on me.

My veterinarian thinks that I have some sort of food allergy, probably to fish. So, I am trying yucky limited ingredient diets to be sure.

I throw up a lot and have gas and diarrhea, which is why an allergy is suspected.

I have food allergies and flea allergies. My Mommy had a previous cat with food allergies, so she fed me the same thing that worked for the other cat: Science Diet. But I still had problems. Then a vet told her it was probably the chicken. Most cat foods are made from chicken and most often, when cats have allergies, it's to the chicken. He suggested Iam's Lamb and Rice and I liked that. It worked great. But I got a bit, well, chubby. Mommy finally found a diet food with turkey instead of chicken and that's working fine and I'm not fat anymore.

For the fleas, Mommy gives us Advantage if she thinks we have any. Mostly we don't. We don't go outside and so none should get in.

The vet is not sure what I am allergic to. They've ruled out food and fleas so the only thing left is something environmental which basically could be anything. I've seen a dermatologist and even had a $250 allergy test and the results were inconclusive. Basically I am on medication that treats my symptoms and keeps me happy (except for taking the medication part) but it's frustrating not knowing what is triggering my symptoms to begin with.
