 | | | | I"ve been in a similar situation as you. When I came into my new home, we had a medium-sized dog named Chelsea who, honestly, wasn't looking for trouble, but I hated her within every inch of my life. I batted at her everytime she walked by and generally made her life miserable (did I mention that this was an elderly almost sixteen year old dog?). Finally, one night Mom and Dad were watching tv in the bedroom with the lights out. They didn't really hear anything, but when the show was over and they turned on the lights, it looked like a bloodbath! Blood was all over the carpet, walls, blinds, furniture, and--of course--Chelsea. Once they got to cleaning (and what a job that was), they realized that all that mess came from a little pinprick cut on Chelsea's ear. I was on our Bad Boy list for days, but I never did anything like that again. I must have just felt really cornered and had a really good aim. We don't recommend anything like that for your dog and cat, but we've had enough dogs and cats to know that they'll usually develop a natural pecking order. With our new dog, I only needed to swat at her a few times to let her know that I'm boss. We peacefully coxesist (most of the time) nowadays. Good luck with your buddies. Take care.
Sincerely,
Big Head Ted | | | | |
