Hi there, any other Bengal mommies and daddies experience "challenges" with nail clipping time with us Bengals? Mommy tries and tries and touches my paws all the time but I still won't let her....

I like being under things.... like blankets. Anyway, I get wrapped in a towel with my face all snug under it, and mommy pulls out one paw at a time. This is how the humans cut my nails. Otherwise, I'd rip everyone to pieces! They think I don't know what they're doing but I caught on. Still, undercover works for me!

my mommy sneaks the nail clippers on me when i'm a bit sleepy and all relaxed. if i'm all wound up i can't hold still for nuthin, but if i'm half awake she can get away with all sorts of stuff.

gosh, Lucy I don't see what the big deal is, I mean I let meowmy cut my nails, and it doesn't even hurt! but I have to be like Tigerlily, all relaxed and "zoomed out" otherwise, yup, it's not happenin'

I really dislike nail trimming time! My mom grabs me when i'm sleepy and takes me to the bathroom counter where she tries to distract me while dad trims my nails. Its the same with my bros. Then we have treats and play with our favorite purple feather.

aaaah, so your humans distract you....sounds like a two human job...see, meowmy is only one human, so maybe she'll recruit someone to help her. No wait, forget I wrote that..I remember now, I HATE having the nails trimmed! No recruits..no recruits...we're ok, meowmy....really !!

My mom always clips my nails when I am "mellow" which isn't very often. I don't really mind. She thinks I like having them clipped. I watch and then run when she is done. I am very gentle with my mom. I have to be, she gives me the best treats!

Well....sometimes Mommy will grab the back of my neck. I don't like when she does that and I know it means I better be good 'cause she is in charge. Then Dad will clip my nails real quick. I don't think the nail cutting is as bad as Mommy making me stay still like that.

But othertimes, I wake up from a nap and my nails are just shorter. Not sure how that happens though. Strangest thing that is.

Mommy clips my nails when I'm all zonked out after zooming around the house. Sometimes I wake up and walk away so she doesn't get to do all of them. But that just means she'll try again later. It's a bit annoying actually. My buddy Binky doesn't mind - he purrs through getting his nails clipped. Silly old cat.

I love my human but he's so mean to me when he cuts my nails. I hate it. I especially hate it when he cuts the dew claw because I'm a polydactyl and he has to dig that one out. That really stresses me out. He leaves the rest of the claws alone but he's worried about that one becoming ingrown so he cuts it.

He holds me very tightly and lets me squirm but lets me know I am not escaping, and then when he is done, I run away and am mad at him for a while.

But I am a sweet guy so I eventually forgive him, just like I did when he had to put medicine down my throat!
