Steve and I like newgrass, progressive rock, and alternative folk the best. We like The John Cowan Band, New Grass Revival, Yes, Wilco, Neil Young, The Patti Smith Group, and many others.
Mom is a music major so we get to hear a lot of classical/marching band/drum corps music. Her and dad also like alternative, rock and roll, hard alternative, techno-ish stuff and all sorts of other things.
Well as you can see I love Shakira : ) She is right now the best representation of our Latin Music : ) Also I like Ricky Martin and love Reggueton and almost all latin music (but no Regional mexican or Cumbia or Salsa)... But when mami was 15 she likes heavy Metal and loves Nirvana and all the grunge... I don´t like false singer (the ones who only do playback)...
I listen to what ever Mommy listens to, and let me tell you, that's a long list. She's in the process of getting an online streaming radio station set up, and seems to have a never ending collection of music on her computer. Its insane! The number is up over 2000 in tracks now, and that's not even including actual CDs she owns. She listens to EVERYTHING.
Something she plays a lot lately is the new Evanescence album "The Open Door", which I actually enjoy quite a bit. I'm a hard rockin' kitty! Yah!
