 | | | | Good morning friends,
Luna Rose who joined our family at the end of November, has had a runny snotty nose since we got her. She has been treated with a round of antibiotics and it got better...but returned full force. She doesn't act sick, guess that is cause she is so full of energy and love....
But we took her back to the vet and he did a nasal wash and culture last week. The vet tech let us know yesterday evening that Luna Rose is severely infected with a rare bateria organism called Pantoea....she said they rarely see it. Mommy has been searching the internet, but not found anything too helpful.
Luna Rose was put on a high dose of very strong antibiotics for 20 days....the usual course with this antibiotic is 10 days....so it lets mommy know the vet must really be concerned. The vet is supposed to call this morning.
We are worried....lots of side effects from the antibiotics, but so far so good.
Is anyone familiar with Pantoea organism???
Mommy has woke up to roof leak...although grateful for the rain....not happy about the rest...
Thanks for the power of the paw.
Love you.
