	What a great offer, Dafi! Mama says that the libraries here in the Cleveland area have a reading therapy dog program...it's helping kids gain more confidence in their reading skills.

	Thanks Dillon...we hear from librarians and teachers that kids become motivated about reading when they have the experience of reading to a dog...there is also lots of evidence that their skills improve. Dafi

	Our local elementary has such a program, BUT I don't know that they read dog books to the dogs. That's an interesting twist I'm going to pass on to my Board of Directors at the shelter. Thanks, Dafi. Jesse

	Mom will discuss this with the cats she helps at the shelter next Tuesday. You might be right, BUT I don't think so..........Do you know I, Jesse, have NEVER been around a cat, seen a cat, touched a cat, sniffed a cat, chased a cat, and anything else dogs do with cats. I'm missing an essential life experience and I'm almost 12.

	great idea for dogs, cats and kids everyone is a winner who can read. We started with our sons when they were months old, and also pointing out things right away and same with Rocky, Sarge and Abby - on our walks - I'm sure we must have programs similar to what you are all saying but not being in the schools anymore, working or with kids attending, we don't keep up on the programs. That's a nice offer, Dafi

	Thanks Sarge, We have been very touched by the wonderful work done by therapy dogs and their owners...my dad writes about them every month in our Barking Planet Blog and he is writing an article, A Dog Walks Into the Room. Atlas, maybe you can start a therapy reading cats program...kids can read cat books to cats...you can use the principles of the R.E.A.D. program...there is one primary condition...you must give unconditional love...
