Cookies for us doggies

Pumpkin Cookies

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup pumpkin, canned
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 tablespoons Crisco
1 whole egg
1/2 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flour, cinnamon and nutmeg and cut in shortening. Beat egg with milk and pumpkin and combine with flour, mixing well. Stir until soft dough forms. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool and serve.

Mommy made this for me after my recent dental and I thought I would share!big grin

Soft Banana Strips

For this dog treat you will need 1 egg, 1 cup of fast cook oats, 1/2 banana, 1/3 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of flour and 1/8 cup of cooked rice. Beat the egg in a bowl and squash the banana, then mix all the ingredients and spread evenly on a plate. To cook, place in the microwave for 3 1/2 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
