I sent the link. Thanks Freckles. That's about all I could find too. One small paragraph about that kind of cancer in cats. I also suggested Louis see an oncologist if he hasn't already. Poor guy. There are a lot of us getting cancer.

The good news is that since the doggie treatment is surgery and radiation it should be the same for cats too so there will be plenty of experienced vets even if it is dogs that they have primarily dealt with. With cancers/illnesses that are primarily treated with drugs/chemo then there can be quite a lot of differences between the dog and cat treatments which makes it difficult if its very rare for one species.

It is heartbreaking for me to read all these stories of furbabies that had cancer. I know what Mommy is going through now. It is very hard on her and the surgery is not till tomorrow.

The vet is very hopefully that it is localized in that one teat. But he won't know anything until after the surgery. Mommy has to bring me there a 7am tomorrow morning, that is why she has not been back on here since she joined. She has been doing her best to clean the house. She wants to make sure I won't get a infection went I get back home. You know how Mommies are...red face

There will be soo many people that will want to know about me that Mommy will just post it in my diary tomorrow. Besides, Mommy will be too upset to do much more.

I wanted to tell everyone, my friend Kally Kat set up for me at greatfullness.org to burn a candle. If you would like to stop by and burn a candle that the surgery goes well and they get all the cancer, Mommy would be very grateful...

Cancer is so very tough to deal with. We are purring for you and lit a candle for you. We had a doggie sister who had a cancer like yours. When her teat was removed she was fine. It never returned. We wish the same for you.cloud 9

It is good to have support from others who are going through this when faced with lymphoma.

Hello fellow felines,
My mom and dad just got the diagnosis for me a week ago. My biopsy after a big surgery was positive for breast cancer.
Mommy whispere to daddy finally last night 'I am scared to lose her'.
Daddy kissed her and then me. He said 'We are going to fight this. She is a gift, and she came to us for a reason, and none of us know what time we have here.' But mommy has been sad today. She's just having a hard time.
We have a vet follow up appointment Monday coming. Then they get me an appointment to see a 'specialist'. My friend Sweets told me not to fear that, because after all, I am 'Special!'
But Mommy and me and Daddy....well, we want to know if anyone knows about treatments like herbs, stuff like that can help and stuff?

Natalie, I don't know about herbal treatments and stuff like that for cancer, but I want to wish you well with your specialist appointment. A couple other Olde Furts have had breast cancer, and put up good long fights and had enjoyable lives for a long time after diagnosis. Hopefully your docfur caught it early, and you can have successful treatment and spend many more pleasant days with your Mommy and Daddy. Lots of whisker kisses and purrs to you! hug

Natalie, I'll send you the contact info for the holistic vet that used to treat me, Minxy and Jester. She is a DVM who also trained in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and there are some herbal treatments that can be used together with the normal vet treatments. She may be able to refer to someone locally or be able to consult with your vet. Purrs Freckles

Tonight Mama discovered lumps on each side of my throat, indicating the tumor in my head is spreading beyond the area of my eye and sinuses. She doesn't want me to start struggling to breathe, so we do feel that with this development my time to go to the Bridge is drawing very near.

Above all we are just taken aback by how quickly this tumor has developed and spread. It was just two weeks ago that Mama was concerned I might be developing another herpes infection, or that I might be having a stroke. Instead we learned about this aggressive, evil alien growing in my head. cry

We are sending purrs to all those who are fighting the good fight with treatment, those who have a chance of a cure. hug
