Yup second favorite dog. It was good for the comic relief to see Rose and Bernard. Can't say as I blame them. They've got what they need and Rose is healthy.

Was that deserted cabin in the present the cabin Rose and Bernard were living in back in the 70s? It was so great seeing Vincent again!

OMC, you guys have such great insight going with the Jacob and Esau thing, and Jack's dad's shoes being on Locke. Interesting...very interesting!

OK, Sawyer...sniff...he looked so pitiful...so sad what happened with Juliet! I am soooo happy I was completely unspoiled about the finale!

That ep was AWESOME! What an incredible finale! Loved it loved it loved it! hail

The fact that Rose & Bernard just disappeared this season really annoyed me so I was happy to see them happy and with Vincent.

I am so blown away by the finale. There was so much information given that I think I will need a second viewing to even wrap my head around it.

Since this season is the last one, I really hope they do something fun leading up to it like the online game and billboards they had up a couple of years ago. That really helped build the excitement.

I don't think the second Locke is Jacks father, unless Esau first came back as christian which is entirely possible. But the second Locke was Esau because when they were on the beach they had talked about a loophole and Jacob said when he saw Esau as Locke "so you found the loophole".

I am wondering since the bomb went off if we will find that Juliet will be ok. Because if they were in the hatch was never built, so the plane had never crashed then in theory Juliet would have never been brought to the island either.

My other theory is the plane crashing, the hatch being built Jack not helping young Ben etc. is time repeating itself and they had all done this before (multiple times) without knowing it. Kind of a form of purgatory, where they continually go through the circle until they figure out how to set it right. Hopefully next season we will get all the answers we are looking for. But I am also smelling that this is going to end very similar to the DK books.

Well what can i say apart from WOW!! Lost have done it again and ended with an amazing and nail biting season finale.

Was a bit confused for a while ( but when aren't we confused with Lost? ) laugh out loud

Great to see Jacob, he seemed to know exactly who to bring to the Island didn't he. It will be intersting to learn more about him in the last season cry And why the hell does he live in a stone foot?? big laugh I wondered whether when the bomb goes off that caused the statue to fall? Leaving only the foot?

Bernard and Rose, that was great to see them and Vincent of course way to go

Now my theries on Locke, could it be that the alive Locke is a more evil form of the dead Locke? Somethings not quite right with this new Locke and you heard what he said to Richard when he mentioned "Sorting the rest of the other passengers out" Is that something that the loveable, good old Locke would say? I have my suspicions that this new Locke isn't all that good for some reason. And now that Jacob's dead will he take over his position? Why did he want Jacob dead so much?

Is it ok to admit that i cried on the whole Juliette being dragged down the hole and Sawyer bit? cry I'm just such a Lost addict and i get really emotional when the Characters die. How brave was Juliette setting off the bomb? But is that a good thing or a bad thing? thinking

Personally i would feel cheated if it turns out they all just land in LA as planned and not knowing each other! Lost surely won't give it such a lame ending..will it?

Seriously looking forward to the next season but also upset that it will be the end of Lost cry


Just to add, when Jacob says "There coming", i'm wondering whether he means the guys stuck in the 70's?

Orca we think you might be onto something with the time loop idea. If oceanic flight 815 never crashes, then Jack and the rest won't be there in the 70's to stop the incident that required Desmond to push a button every 108 minutes to release the electro magnetic energy. So the plane would still crash in the future when Desmond failed to push the button.

We also think that Esau may have taken on Christians form before lockes. When Ben and Locke to the cabin when they went to meet Jacob the first time, wasn't it Christian sitting in the chair? The one that said help me when stuff started flying all over the room? And when llana was at the cabin she said that it looked like someone had been using it for a very long time. So maybe Esau took over Christians form after they all crashed on the island. And Sawyer it looked to us like it could have been the same cabin that Rose and Bernard had been living in.

And Tyler, we thought Juliet's fall was very sad too and got a little teary eyed before they even dropped the bomb, they all looked so sad.

I, too, think there will be a loop. I am wondering, though, that since Jacob's nemesis (do we ever actually hear him called Esau?) found a "loop" hole, will things actually change.

Just so many questions. But I do like that sometimes when I am thinking a question, a character will ask the very thing. Like Miles asking how they knew that they weren't actually going to cause the incident by exploding the bomb, and were therefor causing all the future events that they were trying to change to happen again. (I am thinking that the explosion is what destroys the statue.)

Some thoughts... quite some time ago, someone said you had to bury the dead on the island... that this was very important. So, any body not buried could be inhabited by Jacob's nemesis. Like Ekko's brother, for instance.

Also, I think Jacob might have wanted to be killed and might have actually been the puppet master in that scenario, rather then the other guy. I'm not so sure that he's the good guy just yet.

All in all, it will be a long wait until the next (last) season when we get our answers!

Not exactly what I meant patches but close. When Jacob and Esau were on the beach they were looking at the slave ship and Esau said "You brought them here to try to prove me wrong". Jacob during their converstations said something to the fact of "The end may be the same but everything before that is progress" I think Jacob is trying to show Esau that there is good in humanity.

Now the loop in time being a circle and I am sorry if I spoil the ending to the DT for anywone who has never read it so if you do not want that you should stop reading.smile

I did not mean that if they never were in the 70's they never would have been able to prevent the plane to crash. I think next season we are going to be seeing a lot more about Joseph and Esau and I think that Esau is the smoke monster (Locke was not afraid of smokey at the time he saw him the first time on the island and notice how locke was not with Ben when Ben saw smokey) and how that will happen. I think that Ben was unknownly working for Esau and thought he was working for Jacob. Richard and the others are the good guys (with jacob). Richard said he kept visiting Locke but did not see anything special about him. Remember the test when he picked the knife? He was suppose to pick the compass. Also remember that Jacob is being killed three years after the crash. I think that we are going to see this is not about the Oceanic 815 and those charactors but a story between Jacob and Esau. Jacob visited all of the people on 815 and each one had some problem they needed to work out in their lives. So when they are on the island it is a type of purgatory they keep repeating the past till make it right and can release themselves. So either one of two things will happen (if my theory is correct). 1. We just saw the ending and they saved Jacob from dying (remember if the bomb went off the plane would never have crashed), Locke wouldn't be on the island, smokey wouldn't become locke etc. releasing Jacob from his purgatory. or
2. We have seen part of the circle and releasing the bomb was not was the thing to set things right I (prevent Jacob from being killed). So then you go back to Jacob and Esau on the beach (the full circle). Jacob being Roland (DT) and Esau is the Crimson King. With the DT you find to Roland finally reaching his quest (the DT) only to get to the top and find that he has been there before. When he opens the door he is sucked back and where he was at the beginning of the story. But unlike the beginning he had the horn of eld which was with him the time before (progress). He is one step closer to releasing himself from purgatory. But this is something he has done over an over thousands of time if not millions. But until he gets the one thing (whatever it may be) corrected he is going to have to repeat it. I think Jacob (like roland) is doing it over and over (along with all the charactors Jack, Sawyer, etc) until that one thing gets changed to release him (or prevent him from being killed). Because when they went into the foot you do not know what time they may have been in. It may have been a portal and they went back from before the plane, darhma, etc. It may be if they let Ben die that may have changed it. Maybe if Jack saved Ben then that would have changed it. I think we are going to find that Richard is Jacob and that is why Ben never saw Jacob. Jacob was already (body form) gone. Also why Richard never ages. Richard gave Ben the lists or notes saying they were from Jacob. But he never saw Jacob because their was no way he could. Ben may be creepy but I think he was tricked all along by Esau.
