TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts"

TODAY'S WORD
Every person has things they're believing for, situations they want to see changed, and dreams God has placed in their hearts. But sometimes, we spend way too much time trying to figure out how it's all going to happen. Then, if we're not careful, it becomes easy to put God in a box and to begin telling Him how to do it... when to do it... and where do to it. Sounds kind of ridiculous when you think of it that way, doesn't it? Today's scripture tells us that God's ways are not our ways. They are higher and better than our ways. Aren't you glad of that today - I sure am!
If you don't get your way, if things don't happen on your timetable, instead of getting discouraged, why not commit today's scripture to memory and begin believing that God has something better in store? Just because it doesn't happen your way doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Remember, God has a plan for your life - every day, every moment is covered. He's already got it all figured out. Don't slow things up by trying to get it done your way. Instead, learn to simply say, "God, I'm trusting You. I know You have my best interest at heart. And even if things don't go exactly the way I though they should or would, I'm choosing to believe that You're still directing my steps into the abundant life You have for me."
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I'm choosing right now to trust You fully. I cast all of my cares on You - the little ones, and the big ones. I give You my plans, dreams, and desires for the future. Thank You, thank you for working behind the scenes on my behalf.. even when I waver in doubt at times. Fill me with Your peace and patience as I wait to see Your holy plan unfold all around me.
