The 7 Ups!

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"This is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!

The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance,
but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth,
so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.

"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!

. . . for what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything.
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!

. . to the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me".
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!
. . for something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3hi5-6

7. Lift Up !!
. . your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead
PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

A POSITIVE THOUGHT

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem ;
not to mention that Friday at Calvary .
Face it, He's crazy about you.

I thought this was mighty special, just like YOU.
Pass this on and brighten someone's day, and remember . ...

God answers Knee-Mail!

Wishing you a Blessed day!!!

It's Already In You

Today's Scripture
“Every scripture is God-breathed…so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP).

Today's Word
God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The Scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed. Fancy word, isn't it. The word “anointing” refers to the power of God which gives us courage, strength, and ability - the kind that can only come from Him. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do! You can accomplish your goals! You have the ideas, the creativity, and talent to be successful! You can overcome any obstacle! You’ve been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you!

And not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He’s already lined up the right circumstances that will work together for your good. He's already put into place everything you need to live a joyful life, even it it's not completely come to fruition yet. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you. You may not have seen it in the past, but if you’ll stay in faith, it’s just a matter of time. It’s on its way. Don’t settle where you are. Don’t have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, “I am God's child. I can accomplish everything He wants me to. I can overcome any obstacle the enemy throws in my way. I have been equipped and empowered by the Creator of the universe!" Rejoice. Rejoice.

A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for already equipping me. Thank You for having already empowered me. Help me to stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today so that I can do all you’ve called me to do. I praise You with everything I am, and pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter.

She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked
at the envelope again.

There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address.

She read the letter:

Dear Ruth:
I`m going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like
to stop by for a visit.
Love Always,
Jesus

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. 'Why
would the Lord want to visit me?
I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer.'

With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets.

'Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to
run down to the store and buy something for dinner.'
She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars
and forty cents.

Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least.'
She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.

A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton
of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total twelve cents to last her until
Monday.

Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings
tucked under her arm.

'Hey lady, can you help us,lady?'
Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even
noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway.

A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags.

'Look lady, I ain't got a job, you know, and my wife and I have been
living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're
getting kinda
hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady, we'd really appreciate
it.'

Ruth looked at them both.

They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that
they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.

'Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have
is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for
dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him.'

'Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway.'

The man put his arm around the woman's
shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley.

As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.
'Sir, wait!'
The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them.
'Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else
to serve my guest.'

She handed the man her grocery bag.

'Thank you lady. Thank you very much!'

'Yes, thank you!' It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that
she was shivering

'You know, I've got another coat at home."
Here, why don't you take this one.'
Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders.
Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her
coat and with nothing to serve her guest.

'Thank you lady!

Thank you very much!'

Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front
door, and worried too.

The Lord
was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him.

She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she
noticed another envelope in her mailbox.
'That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day.'

Dear Ruth,

It was so good to see you again

Thank you for the lovely meal.
And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.
Love Always,
Jesus

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer
noticed.

I Appreciate You
=================

I recently received an email from a friend. The email only
contained three commonly used and familiar words, yet these
three words from my friend had a different feel. This simple
powerful phrase shook me. It was a MountainWings Moment.

“I appreciate you” is what the email read.

I gazed at this short sentence and read it over and over again.
I could feel the transforming, uplifting power of these three
words.

I have been thanked countless times, which is always proper and
in order when someone does something for you. It is simply
showing gratitude or giving credit for something that you are
responsible for.

To appreciate means to recognize the significance, quality, or
magnitude of.
(Appreciate freedom)

To be fully aware of or sensitive to; realize:
(I appreciate your problems)

To be thankful or show gratitude for:
(I appreciate your help)

To admire greatly; value
To raise in value or price.

My friend was not appreciating me for something I did or said to
or for him personally or professionally. He was not appreciating
a particular problem that I had or appreciating my help on a
matter.

I appreciate YOU is what the email read.

That means I am appreciated, I am admired greatly, I am valued,
and I am raised in value. He recognizes the significance,
quality and magnitude of me, and who I am. He is thankful and
shows gratitude for me.

As I absorbed the power of these three words and allowed them to
penetrate and saturate my inner being, I considered whom the
email was from. One of the many life lessons is to always
consider the message and the source of messages that enter into
your life constantly. Did they have any idea how powerfully
profound and life-changing this one short statement would be?

Yet, they said to me, “I appreciate you.”

That also means YOU (The one reading this issue).

Remember the definition of appreciate. You tend to invest in
the things that you find value in. Our Heavenly Father also
invests heavily in us.

Feel the power of “I APPRECIATE YOU."
Tell someone or many, and mean it.

Dip into your rich resources and invest in them; whatever those
resources may be.

I APPRECIATE YOU.

Preparing for Christmas... in Your Heart

Today's Truth
Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Friend to Friend
Have you noticed how hard "re-entry" is?

One of my favorite movies is "Apollo 13" in which we first heard those famous words, "Houston, we have a problem", an understatement, to say the least. The astronauts faced seemingly impossible odds of getting back to earth but refused to give up the fight until they splashed down in the waters of home.

Life is much the same. We are often thrust into a daily life of foreign and often frightening worlds, shaky circumstances, and impossible trials with no obvious way of escape. It seems like we will never get home and our world will never be right again.

I have discovered a truth that surfaces in my heart every Christmas holiday. We all come into this world with a sense of being lost. Tucked into the corner of our souls is a feeling of restlessness...a longing for home, for something eternal. He has put it there to draw us to Himself. That longing will never be satisfied outside of a relationship with Him! God holds each today and every tomorrow in His hands. Nobody and nothing can fill the "God-shaped" hole in our heart.

I have come to cherish that desperate heart cry that drives me to my knees and into the lap of my Father! Each and every time I come to Him, He whispers, "It will be all right. You are not home - yet."

I do not want this broken and torn world to be my final home, but merely a place I am passing through. While I am here, I have a God-sized job to do, an extraordinary mission to complete and a wonderful purpose to fulfill. Is that awesome or what? Absolutely! But it is only the beginning of the eternity for which I was created. It doesn't get any better than that, my friend.

So as you dive into your hectic schedule, remember that one day, we will be home - with Him - but until then, let's celebrate here! Guard your hearts and mind by filling them with God's Word. Hold fast to the true meaning of the season and don't let go! Look for ways to share the message of the manger, embracing that longing for home as a sweet reminder that one day we will celebrate His birth in Heaven. What a Christmas that will be! And we are on our way home!

Let's pray
Oh God, I love You and am so thankful for the hope that eternity holds because I know You. I am not alone, nor will I ever be. I will lack nothing because You are my Provider. I can sing in the midst of the storm because You are sufficient. I praise You and long for Home. But while I'm here, help me to be all that You created me to be.
In Jesus' name, Amen!
