If we could some how reactivate the dalek's other emotions, I could see them as potential friends someday. The shape shifters as well can go either way, but using Odo as an example, he was a great asset and friend to the Federation. Once he rejoined the Great Link he was able to convey his experiences to his people. As far as our current friends becoming a potential enemy, I would say the Klingons. Our relationship with them is always strained at best. They are a warrior race and are quick to anger and over react, especially if they feel their honor is at stake.

Stinker, what are your ideas about how to learn more about the shape shifters? How could Black Ops assist in making them allies? I know we cannot become one, but how could we best engage them? Does anyone want to offer ideas to this discussion?
