	I've seen some really unusual and beautiful names here and was curious as to how did you got your name? I'll go first. Nothing unusual or beautiful about my name (Tuffy) but here goes: I must admit, although I am not proud, that I was kind of a bully when I was a kitten. My brofurr & I just couldn't get along and I was always beating him up, as well as any other kitties that came along. I also put the vet in his place a time or two and Meowmie and Dad decided that I was really a tough little stinker, so the name. I also really did a number on Meowmie's nose one time when she tried to break up me & my brofurr's feud. Oooh, so sorry Meowmy I must admit that I am a much sweeter and more mellow guy since I have become a house cat. Guess one is never too old to change one's bad habits!

	Well, since somebody dropped me off at a Pet Store and my meowmy and sister took me after I got left behind, they decided to name me Isis- because she was an Egyptian goddess known for all motherdom. I purrsonally think that is a beautiful name for me Love and kittie queezins Isis

	Hi Elmo, Thanks for posting. You are such a cute little sweetie. I don't see a resemblance to the Elmo on Sesame Street at all. But that is a funny story. I was reading your bio and that is horrible what your neighbors did to you. I can't believe that anyone would be so cruel; especially to such a little cutie. Have you met my sisfur Hazel & brofurrs Sammy & Smokey? They are at the Bridge also. I'm sure that they would be more than happy to look after you and show you around there if you are alone. Hazel & Smokey have only been there for a short time but it is truly a beautiful place. Great to meet you. Elmo is a very cute name. It does seem fitting for you, somehow. You just kind of look like an Elmo and that is strictly meant as a compliment. You know how some names just really fit and I think that your Mommy chose a really good one for you. So sorry that you had to go to the Rainbow Bridge at such a young age.

	our 15 year old beautiful friend rusty passed away. within one week we found ernie and his two brothers in a parking lot of a flea market. they were tiny kittens and had many fleas. i knew my husband would be really upset when he found out that rusty had passed. so i named him after his favorite writer. we had gone to the hemingway house and saw all of the kitties with the many toes. however, ernie did not become my husbands favorite cat but he is my buddy. he usually sits right above me when i watch tv.

Little Princess

	I thinks that's a puurfect name for Isis. She looks like an Egyptian Princess. Tuffy..you look like a furry sweet kitty, but you are a big cat, so your name fits you too, and Elmo...well Elmo is just such a cutie and he needed to have a cute name! He's our MIDE Baby. Thor and U-Cat and Monkey are watching over him at the Bridge. Now Erni, you have got to be the fluffliest kitty that I have efur seen. You really have a beautiful fur coat. You were just darn lucky to escape being named Fluff! or Fluffy! I think Ernest Hemmingway is a furry cool name fur a polly. I got my name because I'm little and cute. My meowmy was going to call me Cera (yechhh) and she did try that name on me, but even though I got older I never got very big. Effurrybody just kept calling me Little Bitty, and it stuck.

	Aww... my first kitty when I was a little kid was named Tuffy. He was a purebred Blue Point Himalayan. Pud's original name was Oreo. I'm not sure how it got switched to Pud. I guess that name just suits him better! Smokey's original name was Silver but we renamed him when we adopted him from our neighbors. We figured he needed a fresh start for his new life with us.

	Isn't it funny how some names just seem to fit a certain kitty? Pud, my brofurr's name was Smokey too. He was a Russian Blue (that pretty smokey blue color); so the name just seemed to suit him. Our Sammy was named after Sammy Davis Jr. because of his coloration and the fact that he was small and short. Our sisfur, Hazel was named after Meowmie's aunt who was petite and wiry, just like Hazel! Oreo is a very pretty name for a black & white kitty but Pud is very cute; I like that! Love the name of Ernest Hemmingway; that is sooo appropriate for a Hemmingway cat! (We like the nickname Erni too, much quicker to type)! MOL! And Little Bitty, your name is very fitting, especially since you are little! Good name; it fits you very well. Keep posting all you furry furriends. It is fun to learn how you acquired your unique and purrrty names.

	My mommy got me the week before 9/11 and Mazda was just starting their Zoom Zoom Zoom commercials. I was a holy terror as a little kitty and was always tearing around the house very very fast. The song from the commercial just seemed to fit my personality, plus Himmies tend to look a little Panda Bear like, and all famous Pandas have repetitive names like Ling Ling, and Pong Pong, so Zoom Zoom just seemed like a natural choice. I like my name and I come when I'm called...Ya Zoom Zoom Zoom!
