Midnight Christmas eve: well I guess I really meant Christmas day...

Anyway, I also discovered the Ghatti's Tale series by Gayle Greeno today. Curled up on the couch, snow outside, Celtic music on the stereo, with a good book and my Gleshka at my side...

Ahhh... If only I had a fireplace... the perfection would be complete.

I hope you are enjoying the snow Gleshka. Maybe you and your mom will go out in it for a few minutes. Nothing like snowy paws to make one enjoy a warm blankie even more wink We are finishing The Lost Symbol and mum got the next 3 Warrior cat books for Christmas!

Gleshka says, "I don't have a mommy; she left us before I was adopted by my dad. Now she's in AA and good for her but she can stay away, thanks very much."

Life's much better, actually, situation being what it is. But, what Gleshka doesn't know is that on Tuesday a kittymommy is coming to live with us as a foster for awhile. Hope the transition goes well...

No worries. Thanks for visiting my page!

Gleshka enjoyed watching the snow but I doubt he'd enjoy being out in it. If I had a harness I might have taken him out...

Me and mum are reading The Horse That Wouldn't Trot by Rose Miller. I know what you are going to say... not reading Warriors? heheee. WE will get back to those.
This book is an autobiography and a book about Tennessee walkers (a breed of horse) Since mum has a walker she trail rides, she thought it might be interesting.

Speaking of Warriors... hehe. In addition to Doomsday Book by Connie Willis, and the Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, I read the 4 new Warriors books in Omen of the Stars, and the special editions Bluestar's Prophecy and Skyclan's destiny.
Bluestar's Prophecy was great, actually. I was pleasantly surprised. It starts with Bluestar as a kit and goes through her whole life all the way until the first Warriors book. It showed the beginnings of some of the original characters that made the first series so good and addictive. I really liked this one. It made me want to read the first series again.
Skyclan's Destiny was ok. It is kind of hard to get into the new characters though. But I like some of the differences from the regular clan books. The kittypets are interesting.
I think the Omen of the Stars ones are pretty bad, but I want to finish the series. I just can't leave it hanging. The last 2 haven't come out yet.

I guess I should put in a SPOILER ALERT******* right here, stop reading if you want to read the Omen of the Stars Warriors books

So I am very sick of the forbidden love between clans thing! It's tired already. And it really annoys me that Jayfeather and Lionblaze never tell Firestar anything. I really wish there were more Firestar in general. It seems like he can't think for himself anymore. Anyway, I think the 4th book was especially bad. It went off on that weird Tribe tangent for no reason. I just want the darn power of three prophecy to be finished so everyone can move on. Anyway, sorry about this stupid rant. The real issue is why do I keep reading Warriors then? hehehehamster dance

I borrowed Doomsday Book from the library- I haven't bought any new books in a bit. I just remembered something funny: Without thinking about it, I was reading Doomsday Book the week that the world was supposed to end (May 21st). And the cover of the book says DOOMSDAY BOOK really big. I was reading it on the subway and I kept feeling like people were staring at me. Later on I realized that they probably thought I was one of those "doomsday" people that believed judgement day was coming. Hahaha! big grin

It's true that I read those Warriors books because I was craving a cat-story. smile Meow! it's just so irresistable to read about cats...
