OMG, Gio. I thought the same thing about poor Hedwig. How she was mad at Harry for locking her up and wouldn't even acknowledge him when he was reliving some of his memories in the Dursley house with her. I know I would feel awful if one of my pets died while we were on such poor terms with each other. Even though she had such a great life with Harry, I'm sure it's those last moments together that made Harry so upset that she died. No time to make ammends. frown

I just found this group!!!! I recognize some of you pups in here tho. I LOVED the book. I cried.. I laughed... it was great. I like how there were funny little bits in the middle of sad or "slow" parts. I KNEW Snape wasn't bad... just didn't know "how" he would be good. I had a very strong suspicion that Harry was a Horocux. I like how lots of characters were included; Percy, the old Quidditch team members ect.. I liked how the Malfoys turned out to actually CARE about their son and not just pleasing LV. About the only thing I was like... oh... about was Molly Weasly doing away with Bellatrix, I SO wanted it to be Neville!

Welcome to the group, Paris! You are a real cutie!

I thought Neville would kill Bellatrix too, but in the end he actually committed a much greater act of heroism -- destroying the last horcrux, making LV mortal at last. I wanted to stand up and cheer for Neville -- what a moment for him!

I also thought Harry was a horcrux. I didn't know, though, how Rowling could kill LV without Harry dying as well. I loved the way it all turned out, though.

OMD I finally just finished the book this weekend!!! I'm SO SO happy that the ending and surprises have been kept so quiet and stayed out of the media...I was afraid someone might ruin the ending for me! I don't tihnk I'm ready to re-read it any time soon...I really went slow and took my time with it the first time through, so I probably won't read it again for a couple of years, before the movie comes out.

Hey, Xena! I went through it twice, just to get all the details, but I probably won't read it again til just before the movie, then again a couple of years later, along with the rest of the series. And probably another time or two, as a whole series. I tend to do that with series' I like. I just take a notion to be in whatever world they're in, so I pick up the first book and run through them again. That must be why I've read "Lord of the Rings" ten times now, starting when I was in high school (I graduated in '71).

I finished the book about 3 days after I got it. I do admit that I read WAY too fast, and probably didn't soak up enough of it, so I'm re-reading it.. slowly.. smile
