I received an e-mail from Bill, Irene's husband. He said that she took a turn for the worse tonight (Thurs.) The blood to her heart dropped from 78 % to 62 %. Bill said that Irene is 73 yrs. old.
She still needs our prayers as much or even more than she did. Bill could use some prayers too, he is so worried about Irene.

applause A great big Thanks you to ALL for your prayers and Good wishes. We received Great news from the Specialist Vet last night.
Darlas latest bloodwork panels came back NORMAL. We are so so greatful for this good news. SHe did well on her checkup Tuesday with the Internist. We must monitor her for any changes or further seizures and return if any occur. The threat of thyroid cancer was a big fear for us and her vets. It was the best Birthday present for her special day!! I continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers for all your needs. Her Human Daddy goes for further testing monday the 8th. He is very worried,please keep him in prayer still. Thanks so much Critters and your people too.hughughug

Update on Rusty-sweet friend of Sassy: sad news I'm afraid. Mom got this e mail earlier this afternoon from Wendy-the Mom to Rusty:


I am back from the Vet with Rusty and I am sorry to say the news is not good. Rusty's x-rays have not improved. There are nodules in his lungs and the doctor suspects lung cancer and/or chronic lung disease. At this time she does not feel it would be beneficial to do a bronchoscopy. When I asked her what she would do if it were her dog she said, "She would look at his quality of life and consider putting the dog down." I know what I need to do. Now I need to find the courage and the strength to say good bye to my best friend.

She appreciates all you have done in supporting her and Rusty but tonight she just wants to hold him and does not want to talk to anyone. She needs this time with Rusty so matter how badly you want to console her please let her have this time with her baby.

Please say a prayer for his Mom. She is devastated and heartbroken and tried so hard to save him.

I am so terribly sorry to hear about the bad news that Rusty received from the vet. I don't blame Wendy for wanting this time with him to be alone together. As probably most of us know, it is so hard when we have to say good-bye to one of our fur-babies. It breaks our hearts to have to make that devastating decision but it will be Wendy's last, most loving and caring thing that she can do for her Rusty. They are in our thoughts and prayers.

I talked to Joan this AM and her spirits are good...she appreciates all the prayer on her behalf. Please continue praying for strength, for therapy that will help her left side, for patience with slow healing and joy and peace in the Lord and no fear. Thank you Critters for caring!
