Here's an update on Tony. Thank you everyone for your prayers! big grin

This is from his diary:
===============================================
We had very good news from the vet! Everything checked out ok!

The vet said there is no sign of the heart disease Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. I had normal to direct and indirect responses in my eyes. My heart rate is fine and my skin coloring nice and pink.

She feels i overate, overplayed and then my body overreacted to my throwing up.

Mom was told to limit my salt intake (which means no more of my Wellness wet food), to not let me over exert myself and mom is to give me Vit E for my heart, just in case. Mom is suppose to watch me a few days for anything unusual. But otherwise she saw nothing to be concerned about.

Mom is so relieved and so very thankful for each and everypurr and their pawrents who prayed for me. She still believes if it hadn't been for all those loving prayers i wouldn't be with her today! Again we thank you with all our hearts and please if you ever need a friend, a prayer, an ear, a shoulder to cry on, we are here for you as you were for us. with oh so much love Tony and mom

Latest on Sue:

Hi

The CT scan yesterday showed no pulmonary embolism. Yea! It did show fluid around the lungs so they did a right side thoracentesis (stick a needle in & drain) to get it out. They removed 800ml. They are going to test it to see what may have caused this. They may do the left side if no improvement but right now it look pretty good. Also, they want to put the feeding tube back in - if I can talk her into it. Her nutrition is just too poor to facilitate her wounds healing. She is still in the ICU & they still have the OR trip planned for Friday as I mentioned earlier. I will let you know how things go.

Hi All,

They moved Sue back up to the seventh floor in Ward 7D room 702. Yea! Once they removed the fluid from her chest she had a much easier time breathing, so we – hopefully – are back on track again. The doctors are still saying that she is making progress, even with some of the side complications. They didn’t put in a feeding tube, but did change her diet to help improve her nutrition. I will keep you all informed. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Bless her heart, it is a wonder Sue has any appetite at all! So happy to hear that she didn't need the feeding tube. Two steps forward, one step back, but she'll get there! She is one strong lady!

My brother amazes me....God bless him....I know he appreciates all the prayers and care for Sue and for him, its been such a long haul..talking to him yesterday he said this last hospital stay has been 56 days and before that weeks and weeks (since April)...and he has stayed supportive and positive and spends hours and hours at the hospital every day....he truly amazes me.

Thanks for your prayers for him and Sue!!!! Murph and mom, Kay

Here is an update on Scooter... and it's good news, so far anyway!

"My Surgery was a success!

July 21st 2009 11:33 am

Dr. Gainsburg called! I, Scooter Yates, have made it out of surgery and it was deemed "a success" big grin

Some of it was kind of confusing. The disk herniation was at T12/T13 and he said it was really bad. It was squishing my spinal cord. He said he didn't have to touch my spinal cord much when is a good thing. There was a little hemmoraging from a "sinus" (that's part of when mom got a little lost) and they got the bleeding to stop.

I will be there anywhere from 2-5 days...possibly going home tomorrow afternoon, but I think it depends on whether I can stand or not. I have inside stiches and like 10 staples...whoa! that's a lot! I'm a little beagley!

As for my recovery process, he has a better idea of how it will go after 24 to 48 hours. Mom will go and visit me after she gets off work. I'll update you guys when mom gets home.

Angels, thanks so much for surrounding me with your love. I felt safe the whole time. As for the support, words just can't express it enough. For those of you who have been through a traumatic experience with pet and felt the "dogster and catster" love, you know. Your friendship means more than you know. Thanks for being the bestest pals a beagley girl can have.

I'll keep you updated on my progress. The next day or two will be really important"

Scootie has been keeping up her diary, so you can read the whole story there. It's not over yet, so please keep the prayers going!
