The Story starts here.

Coco (a new member to our group -- WELCOME Coco !!!) has started a story. applause

Story beginning:

All the kittens slept next to the couch in a puddle on the floor, curled up around and on top of Mama cat, while the rain beat against the windows. One kitten woke up, looked at the window and saw the water beading against it and trickling down.

She wanted to get onto the windowsill to bat at the droplets but couldn't figure out how to get up there. She carefully climbed up the arm of the couch to get a better view but still wasn't near enough to the window sill to touch the glass.

While she thought and thought and thought about how to get there, she heard an awful loud noise, then felt a rumbling.

She thought, "What's happening?" She froze with fright. She couldn't move.

Mama cat raised her head. "Something's wrong" she thought. She sniffed her kittens while counting noses. "Oh no! Where is that girl," she mrowed.

The noise got louder and the whole house trembled.

Mama cat got up, gently sliding out from beneath her babies,,,,Where IS that girl? The BANGS were getting louder .... then she spotted her Little girl kitty ,,,Honey,,,its ok, dont be scared its only something the Humans call Thunder ...Just at that moment the lights in the house went out,,,,Pitch blackened room, Mama lost sightof her kitty,,,,where are you she said as the little kitty.................

... cuddle up to Mom and try to nurse.
Meanwhile the thunder kept crashing and the lightning kept flashing and the little girl kitty felt so frightened that she couldn't even cry any more. She stayed frozen to her spot and just knew that she would never, ever, never feel warm and never, ever, never have her place in the kitten nest again.

then momma cat saw her little girl on the corner, eyes were wide-opened, nose as white as a ghost. Couldn't move out of fright, couldn't recognize her mom's voice anymore... Little kitty was just staring blankly on nothing...
